Set permissions to eat food.

Some of us just like the tabletop food items for decorating purposes. When a new member enters the FC, we explain the rules: no eating food, it gets wasted and it's expensive. Still, eventually the food disappears, you just can't control people, specially in larger FCs.

So yeah, why not make a ranking setting under housing permission, to enable/disable users to click on food to consume it? It could prevent malicious use, such as troll users eating all 10 uses of a food in a row just to be annoying.

Giving this some bump cake. Either allow permissions or create a new set of recipes for the same food items, but make these not consumable. Kind of like the wooden fruit.

This is the bane of my life XD I try to stockpile the festival foods but if they get consumed at all you can't put them back in storage even.

Decorators have been asking for non-consumable food for years for this particular issue. I remember back when sushi was over 100k and I didn't have Cul leveled. Everytime I tried put out sushi for the sushi restaurant in our FC, the sushi would disappear within a few days. I ended up getting rid of any kitchen or food related design in the FC

Hey, bumping it actually for the opposite reason. I have a personal café-themed appartment and would love it if people could hang out and actually eat stuff. It's not like it gets bad or anything, but what's the point of a café where you can't eat and drink?

So please, dear devs: Please make it adjustable, so people can "lock" and "unlock" food! Maybe add various stages, for FCs based on ranks (incl. self only), for private appartments/houses to self, friends, party members or everyone.

This. PLEASE. One reason I want a house is because I learned that the food furniture items existed and I wanted to share them with my friends, only to learn that whoops! I can't actually do that unless they're in an FC with me and the FC has a house, or if one of us has a house and the others are tenants. This is something I expected to be a setting in the Housing options, but it's not. It's small, but it'd be at least one less reason for me to want a house, since in the current system it seems I'm never going to get one.
