New to Balmung

Hello folks,

After a few unsuccessful attempts at finding a Free Company on Excalibur that would match my playstyle, I decided to give Balmung a try since it's the designated "home" of roleplayers. I am a roleplayer myself, yet I have very limited experience in a video game environment. I am not great, but I do have experience in tabletops, forums and LARPs.

I have not played the game in 1.0. I started with 2.0 from release up to about 6 months after. I enjoyed the game, but it felt too limited at the time, so I left for a while and played other games. Now, I feel the game is in a great shape with lots of options and activities to choose from (which is what I expect from a MMORPG).

That said, I am still missing something much valuable; players to call friends and enjoy the game with, perhaps getting involved in roleplaying as well. The main thing is, I play in the EDT timezone, usually between 20:00 and 23:00 on week evenings. Weekends vary based on my current project or activities.

If anyone has any advices to get the best out of Balmung, it would be much appreciated.

Welcome to Balmung. I think you'll rather enjoy the community here. Sure we have our share of RMT's and trolls but as a whole I believe our server hosts one of (if not THE) best communities in the game.
