    i like the stamina bar again this is like trying to add an auto attack, it removes the need to pay attention more and creates morons spamming, i agree with mariyashidou, some reason b4 this game even launched i was seeing that game when i was playing it seeming to be very similar to what ffxiv was talking bout. i would make jokes that se has russians spies in there company lol. but seriously i think stamina bar and nooooo auto attack is an important factor to this battle system, it makes the game play more important, on top of that they need to add sp lose at deaths and then all the retards can go back to playing a game for retards. work with the stamina bar and auto attack and fix it not remove it, what u want to remove is the spammers, the leechers, the zombie grinding people afk letting auto attack do the work, the duel boxing players. that is what needs to be removed not the auto attack an stamina bar.

    The stamina bar is simply a unglorified ATB gauge from FF13, SE needs to plan more carefully that putting the all class abilities does indeed cause a bottle neck like i read in some these other posts. The bar could be improved, but SE needs to admit like someone said before: server lag, UI lag, animation lag puts a huge damper on tank jobs to perform without waiting 20s between sequences of abilities that keep hate, cover PT members, etc. The key is to balance the bottle neck. I mean provoke and taunt and other relevant JA should be removed and go to timers. Main JA should be instant abilities otherwise by the time u get all your buffs stacked the mobs dead anyways.
    The stamina bar should apply to melee type attacks and ones that don't need to spammed for delay purposes. I mean really though, either way its a timer.....do we need a fancy timer that doesn't tell time right?? Either that or drop back to weapon delay. Just because you can make something fancy, only makes it that...fancy...

    Keep the stamina bar, it's just a tweaked, visible ATB guage. I would suggest it being more graphical like FFXIII though. Actually pop up like 3 abilities at a time to do. That can be super helpful to any class as long as you can cancel them out if you need to and pop a cure instead or something.

    In the letters is said they will are working on an Auto-attack feature so it will make it more like FFXI, so we just may see the stamina bar going out the door, that or normal attacks won't use the stamina bar.

    i hate Auto-Attack, i hated it in FFXI because after awhile, it make the game rather boring, now if they made it to where you could switch Auto-Attack on/off that would be great, but completely getting rid of the stamina bar would drastically lower my interest in the game

    Actually I could see the stamina bar working much better if they added a queue similar to FFXIII's ATB gauge, as previous posters have suggested. My biggest problem is the *wham-wham-wham* button smashing I do on the 1 key just so I don't miss my opportunity to attack, and while I know I ought to watch whether the bar is that teal or if it's that meringue color for when I ACTUALLY ought to be keyboardsmashing, if I get distracted IRL I'm pretty much boned while my character just stands there like some kind of moron. At least a queue would buy me a few seconds to say "No Mom, you're killing my video game character again, I'll call you back in a minute."

    I see a lot of good suggestions, but I feel that some of conversation has gotten slightly off topic.
    The scope of this is to examine the benefits/hindrances of the stamina bar.

    Auto Attack:
    - If auto attack is added it could work fine with or without the stamina bar.
    - If auto attack is not added, it could also work fine with or without the stamina bar.

    So my concern is that the additional threshold, bottleneck, etc. of the stamina bar in its current form is useless. The desired effects for limiting actions can be achieved using the other limitations already placed in the game.

    - We could use longer/shorter animation times to differentiate between abilities like bloodbath and rampart. Or, use the stamina bar for buff actions only. (Featherfoot, Fercocity, Blood Rite, etc.)
    - Does my Warmonger really need to take up half my stamina bar or could we just give it a longer animation time? Or could we just limit those types of actions to stamina without spells, WS's, attacks, ect. also taking away from the same bar?

    examples:

    Casting Sacrifice takes - mp, hp, stamina, casting time, animation time, and also has a cooldown.
    Using Seismic Shock takes - mp, tp, stamina, animation time and also has a cooldown.

    - in each case there is enough there to limit the actions of the player sufficiently in a variety of ways without using stamina.
