    FFXI Level Synch?

    Would it be possible to bring back this feature from FFXI in some fashion for FFXIV? It was the most astounding thing I noticed during my short time playing FFXI, and with a growing gap between some of the members of my linkshell as well as friends outside of it, I think this would make grouping for leves much easier, and give more incentive for higher rank individuals to return and repopulate lower level camps and zones.

    Anyone else think this would be one of the most positive changes in the future?

    I would like to see this come back as well, but it's different in XIV than it was in XI.

    In XI, you could potentially have your character level to the cap in the first zone. While that was indeed possible, you then had to level your skills accordingly. Despite your actual level, your weapon skill levels would be incredibly low so you'd have to catch them up in some manner.

    Again, I'd like to see it but if it were to be implemented in the same manner it'd be kind of game breaking. I'd like to see it because I have all my jobs < 20 so whenever I get novice players into the LS and they need someone to party with, there's nothing I can do. Despite the games infancy the starting areas are very much barren. It's even worse for the towns that aren't Ul'Dah. I could see such a lowly populated starting region being a bit of a deterrent to gamers "just trying it out."

    Maybe include monetary rewards instead of SP?

    Our LS have actually jumped back into FFXI a few days ago. Some hadn't played for years so we started new characters and it's been great. Level sync help so much when someone comes online they jump in the party and we sync to who ever is the lowest and off we go. Honestly had more fun in FFXI these last few days than I have had in FFXIV for a long time.

    No because then i have to party at low level becuase everyone too dumb to go to higher level camp. It pretty much be oh this camp get us 800sp per kill let's say here level sync to max. That what happen in FFXI pretty much all the low level camp where gone. No one went to kazam or w/e you spell it.

    I think level sync was necessary in FFXI due to how long it had been out. Not as many new players were coming in, and a lot of people had plenty of high level classes and weren't leveling anymore. It was also necessary due to the fact that you were forced to level in a group. Neither are the case for XIV. I personally wouldn't want to see it. I think if it was possible to level sync people would more often just sit in a camp that had the best leves and never go anywhere else.

    Yep that why we should not need level sync + there more way to level up there no need for it.

    lol level sync is fine, people will always go for the best ways to level up and nothing will change that. People already only do the best leve's so level sync isn't going to change anything their. Stop worrying about what other people do with it and think about how it could improve playing with your friends. The pro's of level sync far out weigh the con's.

    On a side note I had no problem getting parties all day in the dreaded dunes today on FFXI all thanks to level sync ^^

    That not the point, let's say in few month players start level up and making camp around the world of eorzea. They add dumb level sync 1-2year from that. Then i have to stay in the bull???? area for hours just becuase it give best sp and it's not like i can go to the other camps because no one would go they say this is best camp -.-........ so there noting changing i have to stay there and look at the same map for days and hours. if i level something new it be the same thing again

    Some players like to see things moving forward seeing new mobs and new way of partying.

    so level sync no THANKS!!!

    Hey, Alexia. What server are you on in FFXI? I've been really wanting to activate my latest account, but sadly a lot of my good friends moved on from FFXI as well. I'll feel lonely if I go back. ; ;

    As far as my opinion goes, I would have to go both ways. It's true that it'll just turn into the fastest SP camp sites which will incur flooding unless they add instanced zones. I'd like to explore the more difficult enemies as my characters progress through class, and God did I hate leveling my skills to cap after a long party.

    On the other hand, I don't really see why it couldn't be used. It would cut the long hour waits for a party like there was in FFXI for years. All you would need would be a group of people, sync, and off you go. As long as it's not abused for certain zones where it'll be crowded as hell, then I really couldn't care less.

    So I'm 50/50. Maybe longer down the line it'll turn into me being for it since it was a great addition to FFXI because the server population was dwindling.
