Or you end like Ned Stark.....I take my chances on fighting my way out, thank youDoing that makes you look guilty though, you allow yourself to become a captive/prisoner to prove your innocence.Even if you know the person in front of you did it how would it look to the rest of the world if not only did you "kill" nanamo but also Teledji a person connected to the syndicate. It would only make it easier for them to pin the blame on the hero because then they could say he killed him to silence him.

And once again I have to ask, if this is the case why does Thancred get to fight?
He was also accused of treason and being an Imperial spy. Assaulting the guards would, by this same logic, make Thancred appear more guilty.
But Thancred actually seems to realise that he's screwed either way, as we are, and acts.
Spoiler 2.55 so :
Switch to WAR, have Y'shtola heal like crazy, Papalymo AoE like a boss, Thancred kill the archers silently, Yda helps Raubahn and Minfilia get us some coffee please !
Also I would have slapped my char for not seeing it from 10 miles away that the bottle he found was to make him a culprit in an assassination attempt... And not arresting Ilbert sooner, it was litteraly written in his forehead that he was a traitor...
Also we should have listenend to Minfila when she said that it wasn't really a good time to celebrate because tons of people were dead...

As I said in the other thread regarding not having a weapon:
I feel like if the reason for our character's uselessness in the situation was due to being unarmed, they should've made a bigger deal over us not having it (like showing us handing it over before entering Nanamo's chambers) and made a note of us getting it back. As it is, we are mysteriously missing it once we enter Nanamo's chambers (likely because we had to hand it over for a private meeting) but it's absent from our character until AFTER we get off the carriage later on. Either it was poorly done or Alphinaud nicked it off whoever had it while he was escaping and gives it back to you off screen.
That said, I'll accept the unarmed excuse for my character (SMN) and others, but for a character who is a career MNK, that explanation would have to REALLY sting.
A'cacia Khiryu
You know I was convinced that my character left the sample with Momodi. I guess I didn't consider they'd be so unfathomably stupid as to take a bottle of unknown substance into a private audience with a head of state.

Also my Raise and Esuna spells apparently don't work when it's a Plot Device ; ;

So about not having a weapon...

My Main is MNK so watching this was a Kick to my Nads.
MC Went out like a straight up Bitch. Im not even a fan of Raubahn but as soon as he would have cut me loose...it would have went down. I wouldn't have left the dude on his own.
YDA WAS MORE BADASS T_T
I tell you what though...every last one of those Crystal Braves douches are on my hitlist comes Heavensward.

i dunno what i will have done, but i know what i will do if they allows me.... *evil grins*
