Likely not. They probably already planned ahead to bring up a spare poison vial in case you didn't pick up the first one. The reason the WoL picked it up in the first place was because we were going to meet up with Alianne. If you took a look at the Journal text, we pick up the vial because we were curious about it. Immediately after, Laurentius pops out of nowhere (probably lying in wait to see if you would actually pick up the vial or not). Note that the Journal states that something about the vial troubles you which is why you brought it with you to Momodi. The WoL probably thought nothing of it and just forgot about the vial when Momodi dismisses it and tell you that you have been summoned by Nanamo - pocketing the vial in the process.

I can easily see myself surrendering to the guards, even despite the obvious setup. I am not about to draw my weapons and butcher a group of people who may not even be involved and are just doing their job as guards.

As for the dining room scene and the escape, It's quite possible I was just badly beaten in the time between my arrest and then. They clearly confiscated my equipment, I imagine they tried to beat out a confession too. Unarmed and likely somewhat injured, the prudent thing to do is as I was told, retreat.

I'll accept my character being apprehended at the beginning for a number of reasons, main being that I think she would initially cooperate to avoid causing a scene. But after the whole affair with Raubahn and Ilberd, I would've stood by and fought with Raubahn to defeat Ilberd and hopefully escape with him. And if he had pushed me away and made me flee with the others, then I certainly would've grabbed Yda and Papalymo and made them close the gate from our side, because it seems like it would've held them back for a bit just fine.

But that's just me. The way the whole thing played out with the MC was the worst part of the ending for me, it's just felt way too out of character.

I'd like some explanation to the: "You have no weapons!" type of deal, but Monk's on the other hand. (I made a funny) are trained to use their legs and hands to do anything.
So you're telling me, all our abilities solely rely on our weapons? I find no sense in that at all.

I understand why our characters ran away. Someone had to. I would've done it. But when things happened to Nanamo and Raubahn, a jaw-dropping reaction couldn't have hurt. Maybe there should've been a little more emotion in our faces during the whole thing. But. Uhm... I'm also glad we weren't as emo as Alphinaud. >.>;

When you get taken into custody without a weapon, you could have been all Jackie Chan, grabbed a chair, beat the crap out of the noobiest Blade/Brave with it and taken their weapon. Done. No longer unarmed. /rollcredits.
