All they do is nod and follow instructions and do not see blatant things that will get them into trouble later. For example, immediately after being informed that many of the Crystal Braves have been compromised, my character comes upon a random Crystal Brave and... tells him exactly what she's doing and who she's come to meet. Surprise surprise, this guy is one of the bad guys.
Honestly, I'm used to having my avatar/pc being silent after years of playing FFXI. In fact, I pretty much prefer the silent pc, because I feel like I have more freedom to pick how they're supposed to feel and react internally than I usually feel when they're voiced. It's a huge part of why Dragon Age Origins is my favorite Dragon Age, I like the silent pc when compared to the voiced one. Everyone has different tastes, granted, but there are benefits to doing it both ways, I just prefer the silent pc myself.

This. When the pc is voiced, such as in the newer Dragon Ages and all the Mass Effects, I'm left feeling much more like an observer than a participant. I don't really feel like it's me playing when the pc isn't silent I've found.

We end up fleeing Ul'dah anyway, so it's not like complying to Teledji did us any favour (and no one expected it either). It's like they thought of those cliffhangers with the Scions first, and when they had to come up with a storyline to get to those scenes, they dropped the ball and just half hassed it.

    NPC talk in Ul'dah.

The french version is more explicit.

Translation: "B-but, it's the Warrior of Light! What are you still doing in Ul'dah, by the Twelves! Don't you know that all of your allies are already in jail ?"

Do you need something else that I should read for you?

Could mean Rahubanba w/e. Because it'll be very VERY stupid to have done all that jazz, just for them to pass out and go to jail.
They could of been teleported to somewhere else...I still think Minfilia is up to something when she left in the cave. I really
hope they didn't just go up in jail. I'd be so disappoint. xD!

And yeah my character being useless sucks...It's really bad, I totally ignored my character during the whole plot of it all.
Just reminds me of WKC...I'm just there for the ride but not as bad as WKC lol.

Uhm, what? Moenbryda went into the void and thrashed the ascian, rescued Minfilia, and made it weak enough to be trapped and perma-killed? Moenbryda was at best in that scene a battery. the entire event was brought about by the "de-fanged" warrior of light.

Edit: In fact, rewatching the scene Nabriales is completely shocked at the ability of the WoL to defeat him, reinforcing to the player that the blessing is not needed to perform heroic level deeds. That scene singularly shows that we are still quite beyond the norm in terms of ability and power.

I've got a bit of a far-fetched theory: Hydaelyn didn't direct her to go and sacrifice herself, but to go into a newly opened chamber (thanks to Y'shtola's actions) that had been sealed for hundreds of years, or longer. In said chamber are secrets regarding an art long lost to time. Once Minfilia had entered the chamber, she was somehow able to reseal it, or it resealed itself, until the danger passed and/or Minfilia was able to get a basic grasp of her newly acquired skills. maybe the other scions had escaped with her, and the brass blades and all are spreading the propoganda they themselves have been fed.

As I said, it's a bit far-fetched, but I'd like to see Minfilia get the resolve to toughen up a bit after everything that has happened, and gain some sort of combat skills, if only for self defence.

    I was thinking this lol
I thought the postmoogle quest cutscenes WERE THE BEST AND MOST INTERESTING besides hildebrand and the golden saucer intro cutscene.
I mean i swear all the effort went into these short cutscenes i mean c'mon how sexual can u get with whitty dialogue, mi'qote twin fangirls, & a stud with good morales lol.
If only they tried a bit more on the epic finale of the 2.0 main story arc.
Oh well at least 3.0 will be more thought out rightttttttttt.?

I'm glad she's dead, and have rewatched her death CS Multiple times. To me she was a weak character.

Good riddance to the useless puppet.

As opposed to making your character overly passive?

There's no decision making/dialogue choices in the game, no opportunities to put any of your personality onto your character. Your Warrior of Light acts exactly like my Warrior of Light who acts exactly like everyone else's Warrior of Light. If SE really wants your character to feel like you then they need to (at least occasionally) take the SWTOR approach and let you actually react to what's happening. As it is, you can't even imagine what your character is saying because other characters always react as if you said something specific anyway.
