

Yeah, I know. Don't get me wrong, I like the story (despite some of the obvious plot devices). I'm just trying to think how differently it could of been handled.Fighting his/her way out unarmed also is a pretty bad aspect too. None of their options were good, honestly. WoL Dun goofed.
But really, poisoning the Sultana? That's pretty audacious. Nobody thought someone would be bold enough to attempt that. Manipulate and out maneuver the Sultana and usurp her throne? Sure, outright murder and a pretty blatant framing? That's kind of beyond the aspirations of a greedy Merchant. Or at least that was the common assumption.
Agreed.It's been long established that the Main character assumes the best out of everyone but the most obvious threats. Failing of the main story character, but s/he seems to be overly trusting of others pretty constantly.
Let's see if that changes in Heavensward, as the tale is supposed to be darker.![]()
