I'm assuming he means the fact that we didn't have ours yet others did. Well it doesn't make sense lol. Tell me how did we get our weapon back after the carriage scene? There was no sign of us finding it or giving it so what happen to it?
Looking at the cutscenes, you are seen with your weapon again once you exit the carriage. Most likely during the trip after the screen fades to black that Alphinaud or Pipin gave back your weapon.
My assumption that that part was that Alphnaud managed to acquire it on his escape route. Honestly, it's just a pointless plot hole people will use to give agency for their distaste of the story. They don't like feeling defeated.
They don't like being defeated with a cutscene. in addition the whole thing vanishes in a puff of smoke after.
Semantics, and unnecessary ones at all.
If you want to say "I want a fight scene/battle I can't win." It's going to still be the exact same issue. "Why can't I beat these Brass Blades I was able to handle so easily during my level 15 Uldahn quest!?"
Context is there, plain to see. You're taking agency for a character you don't own, arguing that someone else's speculation is less valid than yours, when in fact you both stand on equal ground argumentatively.
If you don't like having interjections on a conversation, you should attempt to contact the individual privately. Else-wise, this is a public debate.

Never had any sort of discussion like that with the higher levels guards before.
Dragon Age: Origins's fight against Ser Cauthrien handled arresting the player better. It gave agency and consequence, and hard enough to make escape/submission look the wiser choice. Now I'm not saying make taledji an elite boss, but they both got a wall of guards ,isn't involving the player's interaction in the plot what makes a video game a video game?
Instead of saying "the WoL did this, then the WoL did that, then the WoL left Minfillia behind" Shouldn't I, with my created character, be saying " I did this, I did that before running, and I said this to minfillia but she went anyway."?

Nothing beats the epic 1.0 ending.
ARR is 'just' a prologue to Heavensward.
And i missed my name in the credits roll.
That ending, that ended with the question what happened to our companion and why the garleans brainwash kids?
The ending of the 1.0 mainstory was still very open at the end.
You can easily assume that you left it with the Silver Blade guard before entering the Sultana's apparments. Or even with your servent, at the inn, since you came from Momodi's adventurer guild.
In fact, it makes way more sense that way. Can you imagin if we had our weapon during the meeting with the Sultana? Teledji would come to arrest you, and Ildbert in person would handle you. No doubt he would strip you from your weapon before throwing you in the middle of the diner room.
From that, good luck to get back your shiny relic when it's in the hands of Ildbert and the corrupted Crystal Braves.

Anyway, most people here are nitpicking. It's a f*cking trope.
Trope.
Trooooooope.
...
This is what almost every game/film/series is made of, come one people. If you can't accept it, then I don't know how you can live in this era.
