    Quite frankly, that's exactly why I love that our character was powerless this time around. It's boring as heck when our character is the Big Hero who swoops in to save the day and fix things every single time. There's no real sense of danger or tension when we know our character is going to come in and hero it up and emerge victorious against whatever new threat we might be facing.

    For once, our character couldn't just make it all better by swinging their weapon around. It's boring writing, and perhaps more importantly, it's bad writing if your hero never faces something that they can't win against.
