Easter Bunny is purely a US thing. Here in Europe, Easter is celebrated with chocolate eggs and eating dove-shaped cakes (as a tribute to the dove that brought Noah a sprig of olive tree, I believe, when he was sending out birds to find new lands after the Flood). We don't have Easter Bunny, nor Egg Hunt or the tradition to paint eggs.

Now imagine that Japan doesn't even know what easter IS. The only reason it gets any sort of recognition is because Christianity is Japan's 3rd more prevalent religion. Even then there are fewer Christians than there are gay people in the country (statistically, at least)
