Keep in mind Japan doesn't celebrate Easter nor do they really understand the holiday's significance.
So it makes sense they'd half-ass it compared to, say, Hinamatsuri. Cuz to them it's just a weird foreign holiday involving eggs, sort of like how Hinamatsuri is a weird foreign holiday involving dolls to us.

Unlike the other egg items... I think the earrings might actually be nice/look pretty provided they are small enough.
And the lamp seems nice too.

It is disappointing to see the exact same item/texture again and again, but the whole event is a weird sci fi celebration instead of being a celebration about Spring/Nophicas Bounty/The great Chocobo chick migration/plenty of other nice ideas it could have been.

They got 3 months and had many months to polish and do whatever to 3.0...No
reason to have half-ass events when they probably have an event team to do it.

Just noticed you said this, but I gotta say, the events themselves have had decent scenarios for the most part, and that is all the event team's doing.

The clothing rewards (or lack thereof) is lame, but a totally different group of people with totally different programing skills are in charge of that. And those guys are probably working full time on 3.0. Think of how many different outfits they've got to render.

We COULD be getting the furniture stuff now, because a lot of it was already in the game, or required only slight modifications for our homes. Cherry trees, umbrellas, glowing eggs on sticks... that stuff is simple to make and you don't need to bother with physics or size scaling.

Now, I've heard other mmos say the same thing about "working on the expansion", and the situation never improved. So if it is still like this next year, I'll get my pitchfork out and stand next to you, but for now I've got fingers crossed.

Why not to expect? o_O There's already been some great suggestions about how SE could step away from that.... Also, my 1.0 mention referred to an overabundance of glamourware hats and accessories. They even put those into preoder/CE bonuses.... lol -_-
