You would be surprised. Time zones bring a whole new complexity to coordinating schedules.
Also in regards to 24 mans, I am baffled how it feels like more of a team effort when you are in there with misc random players from across servers that never talk to each other unless there is a mistake, then it turns into a flamefest. I can barely stand any of the towers as there is no respect for the other players.

I can understand how you feel about the 24 man raids, it shows clearly during LOTA. The amount of rudeness in that one raid is worse than I've seen in ST and WoD, I don't know what it is about LOTA that just brings out the worse in people. Normally I'm just the quiet one that just rolls with the flow, I just don't agree with how most of mechanics are handled. Being as melee heavy as I am I hate having to run through the poison just to kill the skels. Anyway, time zones can be hard I agree but it's not impossible. You would be surprised. Please stop feeding the trolls
Please, everyone go to the Oran'thul main page and watch the video of Nekrage living up to his uphemistic #nerdrage in (bahahaha) Cape Westwind. Imagine having an immature FC leader like this? Best part is when another player states "first time he's seen this happen" as Nekrage temper tantrums on the rock.

I loved the comment that he wasn't going to stay if he couldn't main tank. For the shear fact he wouldn't have been able to hold threat from that warrior.

But dude, he runs an archeage guild! Clearly he is a walking god and even the maths of enmity must bend to his reputation of running a guild in a nobody game.

I took the bait and googled oranthul.
I found an epic assload of cringe worthy whining about being the self proclaimed "best guild" in some game I ain't even heard of.
You too? I've never heard of this game or guild or Neckbeard the Armor Scrub that claims to run "The Best Guild there is". Weird that this supposed FC he runs on his server with 30ish people isn't on the top 500. My two person FC on BALMUNG is in the top 300. And it's just me and occasionally my Lieutenant when she's not working. When he becomes as powerful as The Hardcore Elite-Casuals (The Current Top FC on Balmung), Order of the Blue Garter(First to clear T5 and within the first five to clear second AND final coil), or Lucrezia (The First to Clear Final Coil) THEN he can come talk.
Honestly, I know more about raiding and I literally only cleared T9 a month ago and Shiva EX Yesterday. But I'm a iLvl 128 Drg who's actually seen these raids. 24 Man is moderate difficulty to completely stupid depending on the player quality. Most end game 8 man fights I've been in were nuts on how close the victories got some times. And dang is it easy to die. Four Man content imo needs to be a little harder. (I miss the bees and OP 1st boss of Pre-Nerf Amdapoor Keep and Pharos Sirius) But Visharp was fun. I'd love to see defend & conquer 24 man content in 3.0 on an even bigger scale. THAT would be cool.
Evenly splitting up workload between 8 people is hard enough. 24 people is way, way too many to make real, difficult content. There are simply too many variables considered to assume 24 people can manage truly tight mechanics right. The failure rate would be abysmal.
If they ever even considered this, I would suggest it be restricted to Free Companies only. Turn 9 took me ages to clear in PF and thats only 8 people -- 24 people at the same difficulty would absolutely never work in Duty Finder. But this would forever be strictly hardcore content, and nothing really survives that way in XIV, so i dont see it happening outside some penultimate endgame raid.
