RMT and main story cutscene

I don't know if I'm just unlucky, or if this is happening to others on Gilgamesh/elsewhere, but I recommend if you haven't already that you turn off the /tell sounds before you view the long cut-scene (the one that asks you to make sure you have time to watch it).

I have never received more RMT tells than when I've been watching the story cut-scenes for this patch; the story was riddled with the message received sound, and at that point there wasn't much I could do about it. It seems that they know they have a captive audience.

Even if SE continues to be lax on dealing with these problems, I hope this at least helps others to not have the story experience lessened by constant interruptions.

Yeah before I went for the big string of cutscenes I had to turn that sound off. When I was done I saw all the gilseller /tells I missed.

I now know what happened to Navi at the end of Ocarina of Time. "Hey, Listen! Have you been to Death Mountain yet, Link? The Gorons have the best prices!" "Hey Listen, check out the water temple, they can save you money!"

I forgot to set my status to busy before I started watching the end cut-scenes and was getting bombarded with RMT friend requests during my cut-scenes for the finale so a word of warning I would set your status to busy before watching the end of the game.

I even got a GD friend request from a RMT while I was in Uldah for that cut scene there. That was irritating. Not to mention 4-5 messages on top of that.

I actually had one that kept sending me a friend request. Moment the request timed out, it'd resend. So whole time during that long cs I had the stupid friend request button up....

Reason why it asks is because it is a huge string of cutscenes. I think it was around 40min +-10 worth of cutscenes.
