It would have been sad if the giant dragon battle during the last story patch for the current version number had been a pushover. Really, it's not hard. Assign two dps to cannons and one more to the Dragon Killers. Have the DK run up the tower once the first set of cannons goes down in each section. Fire the the DK when he's in range and binds are up when they're needed. Not difficult at all, I managed to do it in my second DF group.

Of course, there's no counting for people that are pants-on-head stupid (like my first DF group), but that's hardly Square-Enix's fault.

Lol i was going to say the same thing. You have 2 and a half months to find a way to beat this thing. If anything, its too easy! I was hoping for a better boss for the end of 2.0 myself, something that actually feels like a last boss. Not some dragon that you snare and shoot with cannons.

Haven't cleared it yet, but I mostly get the strategy.

Only problems I've been having are, everyone bailing after 1-2 wipes and people wanting me to stay on the cannons even as their exploding. As a SMN I just don't have the hp for it and nobody seems to understand ~.~

Just a heads up to those yet to complete/attempt this.

Do not que for A Party in Progress. There are so many people bailing on this fight if they don't win within the first 3 minutes.
You will end up queing into a disbanding party and waste a ton of time.

While I haven't cleared this yet, I don't find this trial difficult. Gimmicky, yes, but not difficult. So far I've only got fail groups. One group had one of the dps being the only one on cannons when I knew for a fact that they were not the only one on the cannons.

People hate doing anything that isn't a speedrush, a DPS race or anything that has interactions. Which I ADORE in this thing.
Thank for your listening to my "We need more environment interactions." They tell you when to get the cannons and stuff.
I did it once only for people to speedrush and me, the healer, get the cannon on the tower and failed because I lagged during the time
he was suppose to be "red" ? Even when I left the cannons people were still living because you still had healer 2. So anyone can go grab them as far as I know, you just need
to be aware and careful.

The main thing I hate is people die, and go all the way back, and I lost my swiftcast. :/

There's no such thing as too hard for DF, players just need to actually go in with a mindset to learn and pay attention.

So many lazy people its not hard i did it a hour after servers came up im DF. We had no clue what we were doing but got it down after a few attempts. People need to stop being lazy and wanting to be handed wins enjoy the challenge.
