We will likely see more fresh-feeling mechanics in 3.0 - the Bismarck fight is going to be in the air, remember, and we have both the Enterprise and our flying mounts at our disposal. They could do some pretty interesting stuff with that if they wanted to.

If you don't think it's hard, fine
    it really does seem simple

however who is going to give me my 5 hours back now of bad pugs and wiping with no success?
I tried my best as a tank, but clearly it wasn't on me

this may be a simple fight
but it's a bad fight when it take sup so much of my valuable time

Oh no not at all. If it's any less damage than that, nobody would bother to duck, and it'll be all on the healer to "just heal through". You know, like the Bone Dragon adds? I applaud how the stomp damage is balanced. An iLv 110 tank could easily survive a stomp, an iLv 110 healer could, too, but it will be close, with weakness? You'll get one-shot. That is just perfect.

It's just very hard to see sometimes where you can't go, because the mobs are too numerous + take up too much space.
It's trivial to avoid the feet. It's always the one behind that is going to move to the front. You know, like how human beings walk. Left, right, left, right,..., there is no excuse to getting stomped by Vishap. If adds are getting into the way of the dps, then the tank is kiting them too close to the belly. While it's safer for the tank to kite under the belly, it's just as safe (the left, right, left, right thing) to kite in-between the front claws.

Ranged can stay by the tail meaning never getting into range of adds nor get the disappearing dragon trick, so no excuse getting stomped. Can't melee just shift between left and right rear feet, which would prevent the disappearing dragon trick, too? It's trying to stay under his belly that cause him to disappear.

I dunno if my perspective on "a lot of time" is skewed after having spent a month getting T9 down with my static back in the day, but a few hours in DF for a brand new fight? Pretty good deal, man.

Ma'am/Sir, you need to spend some time playing Dwarf Fortress. The original version of DF.

Wiping on battles is the most fun part of this game. its some of the few times I can laugh while healing, and tell myself *Derp!*

I'm pretty tired of all the one-shot mechanics in the game, personally. DPS checks are one thing, but dying to unmarked aoes due to a simple misstep is something I don't feel belongs in mission progression.

Also, regarding Bone Dragon, I actually don't see all that many groups taking the full on suicidal attack approach.

Human beings are enormously oversized and walk on four legs? That's news to me.

Part of the problem here is that I lose track of which direction he's going in, because he occasionally stops and starts moving. If it was continuous movement it would be another story.

    Not my kind of game.

Just because someone's getting terrible PuGs, that doesn't mean the trial itself is difficult. Steps of Faith is easy as hell, it's just idiots who're giving people a hard time. The same of which can be applied to any dungeon, any trial, and ANY MMO.

Wiped a few times on DF because DPS were never attacking the big dragon, set up a PF learning party, cleared it on second try. Not too hard

I didn't know you were trolling until right there. Well played. Anyways, going to set up a farming PT for Steps of Faith. No 100 Soldiery.
