I'm not sure what a "gamer master game wizard" is. But I'm quite sure this fight is within the abilities of "regular folk."

Just completed it on my third try. It was actually fairly straightforward once people knew what to do. Just requires teamwork. Imagine that!

I still find these sorts of comments baffling, because the party is always getting their asses kicked whenever I try this.

Seriously, that's the only thing that kills. Your tank holds the adds and that's the only damage you have to heal. Vishap doesn't deal any AoE damage, so your DPSes hardly take any damage except maybe when a few adds were let loose a little.

The later part you might need to heal a little more due to the Strident Screams from the SVHM dragon adds, but that shouldn't cause you to exit Cleric Stance more than half the time though.

Like I said, this totally feels like Titan EX when it was released. It wasn't that difficult, what was difficult was the 7 adds you have to deal with.

You don't have to be a "game master game wizard" to follow extremely simple roles.

Tanks: Drag adds under boss.
Healers: Heal.
2 DPS: Shoot cannon at adds under boss. Snare boss when it is in range. Shoot barrels when boss is in range.
1 DPS: Fire dragonkiller when the notification indicating the boss has been snared pops up.
1 DPS: Hit the boss the whole time.

Now, explain to me which part is difficult?

I try to grab as many ads as I can
on my screen it shows the ads in red
it shows im bringing them to the front under the dragon's head

I'm not some super expert with 20/20 vision to grab every ad the SECOND it spawns, impossible task for me
but I run around, grab as many as I physically can.

look I'm paying a monthly fee for this
it's wasting my time
I want to beat it because every content in the game so far I haven't had trouble with and what I did have isuses with wasn't on this level

I steer clear of coils and whatnot because i don't have the time nor patience to spend on that
but this, to me, looks like an easy as all hell fight I'm just confused since i appear to be doing the right crap yet im told to do wha tim already doing

Joined a in progress one with 40 minutes left, wiped, tried again, didn't get the last dragonslayer and wiped at 15%, third killed it with 5 minutes to spare. We had 1 healer and 1 tank on cannons, 1 dps did DS and I think cannon healer was back up DSer if DRG was down.

1) You do have another tank to help you I guess?
2) Do you have a WHM? If yes, get him to stand under boss with you. Adds spawns? Get him to throw a Medica 2 and all adds will come flying to both of your direction and you can pick all of them up in a haul.

ask the groups that wasted 5 hours of my time

as a tank, what I see on my screen appears correct on my end
I grab as many ads as i can, most or all are red on me, bring them where the group demands, some want them ahead of the dragon, some under the head, some under the dragon

It's possible YOU aren't doing anything wrong. If you're main tanking here (and it sounds like you are), then your job is to round up adds and hold them towards the front of the dragon (preferably within his hitbox, but we can be realistic about this). The cannon guys are supposed to blast them down. If you have to run back and pick up more adds that's fine, then run them back to the front and that's what you do the entire fight. If other people aren't doing their jobs, that's not on you.

I'm paying a monthly fee for this too. So is everyone else here. So are all the people you're playing with. This fight has been available for under 48 hours. It may take people a little while to get the hang of it. Just because we're all paying subscription fees doesn't mean the story fights are supposed to be facerollingly simple.

There is nothing in this that requires you to be anything but a regular person, this is not a hard game. People in DF aren't regular they are profoundly dumb, and the majority of regular people prefer that the amount of intellectual stimulation isn't dragged down by people who may or may not be able to tie their own shoelaces.
