i was pretty surprised they put something like this this for story lol and yes story content is supposed to be faceroll easy

all these idiots saying how great it is to put this in for the casuals into df content and make a requirement to even access the expansion do not realize what a bottleneck this will become to new people coming into the game trying to clear this when nobody is gonna want to touch this trial. i know for sure im not gonna bother with it ever again.

I enjoy the fight, I just keep getting really bad DF groups because my FC isn't usually free until the weekends. I tried for six hours straight, had five different groups, failed each time because even after I explained it, no one wanted to go on cannons or tower because "I'm dps!"

It will definitely need a nerf in the future when people need to get through it to catch up in the story and damage dealer queue times are through the roof. Ultima hard is still impossible to queue for, and the Hildibrand fights were near impossible before they added cards to them.

But IMO it's totally fine to make it hard now while it's the only thing we have to throw ourselves at for the next three months, then make it easier later on before it becomes a bad bottleneck.

I'm surprised it took a whole 24h before appearance of people asking others to "read a guide/watch a vid". Last time happened a few hours after patch.

From observation too many players read the "you have the option to respawn upon death" part in the patch notes and are trying to zerg down the boss instead of using cannons and towers mechanics.

Zerging won't work in FFXIV. Play smart.

We need more content like this because hopefully it would weed out all the tards that just wanna steamroll everything. How hard is it to use a cannon for crying out loud. This fight was a breath of fresh air than just tanking in place and beat it down.

It forced me and my BF go tank so that we could finally clear it in DF . It's all a part of the greater plan to make more people tank!

Lol wutt? I put it often in my random DFs and i get a kill with random DF people in 99% of all cases

Only nerf the new trial imo needs is a way to wipe faster...If someone accidentally pulls or something really goes wrong pretty much at start you need to wait till the slow assed dragon reached the gate... you cannot even go into a corner and /mandervilledance till the wipe because you always get aggro out of nowhere

Agreed it has a coil like teamwork requirement that I really enjoyed

I do hope future fights keep raising the bar. We managed to figure it out in 2 runs though derps later on caused us quite a few wipes(I'll put it down to being late and ppl being sleepy and random lag and bugs(apparently the person on the dragon killer saw both snares active while one wasn't even fired yet)). But then that's our luck. But yeah lot's of chaotic fun. I want more of such fights.
