Also experiencing persistent lag spikes and I am also a Virgin Media customer based in the UK. Game is unplayable in it's current state on Sargatanas, have had no issues until now.

Have u guys tryed to contact Virgin Media , i didtn have any problems with lag so far today. Just saying is seems a lot of Virgin Media customers from UK having this prob , im in Austria and i didnt hear of any lags from my german friends , so it might be something coming from Virgin Media?

Also Virgin Media - I am getting DC from World of Darkness, and my attacks sometimes take 2 minutes to register on a target.

Also a UK Virgin Media customer. No problems on anything else other than FFXIV (including other MMOs). This only started after the patch... Just adding to the list of folks with the issue!

If you check his posting his every single one is a suck up absolving VM of any guilt and telling people it's someone else's problem.

Of course, in this case, he MIGHT be right, it seems odd this issue coincides with a patch on the servers. But still he's a shameless apologist

I've read all his posts, in that thread anyway. And I agree, in our case, it might be Cogent... *nothing someone says before the word 'but' really counts* but, if it is, then surely VM coulda/woulda/shoulda had words with Cogent after this happened last time, or get on to Cogent about it this time (and post on the forums saying they're being active about it).

There was this exact same issue last month with Virgin media.

I do not have Virgin Media and I have recently experienced some really weird lag spikes.

Sending: 180 - 220 (normal)
Receiving: 180 - 7k (not so normal)

I thought it was just the zones, but now I see I'm not the only one with the lag issue.

This problem has resolved and turned back to normal. I'm on Virgin Media, lag/stutter stopped now.
