    Starting to feel the grind

I'm not sure how this game feels "less grindy" than most MMORPGS, but I'm starting to find it tiring. I found myself struggling to keep up with the story, because I barely kept up with the lvl requirements. Now, I'm trying to reach lvl 30 and it's been a bit tedious. I spent my time on Hunting Logs most of the time, which might be what's making it's hard atm. Going across the map to look for certain enemies isn't very fun. It's also been hard to find quests/FATES that are on my lvl. Even if I do them, they only provide so much EXP. Leveheists are only good until I reach that lvl block

You haven't even begun the grind yet. Fire down a few dungeons here and there or guildhests.

While waiting for dungeon ques, do FATEs and hunting log. Do your low-level, and guildhest roulette everyday. I am leveling an alt, and it's no so bad at all; there are lots of tools nowadays.
I'm actually in the level 25 quests sitting on a level 29 rouge. Just take a day, level it hardcore, not worrying about story quests. You will ride that wave all the way to level 47-48, especially being a DPS, lots of time to do FATEs.

Oh, I loved doing my hunting logs, especially in those first few levels. Broke up the pace because I hate battlecraft leves.

Um, are you doing your daily roulette for dungeons? You are essentially guaranteed a level that way. Also, FATES...hmm... go to the South Shroud for some, that should hold some lvl 20 FATEs for you. I also think you can unlock the next level of levequests there, not too sure because. Idontlikethem.

    ANYWAY
Do you do the main story? Nice chunk of exp right there. I also know when I leveled my first class (which was archer btw, ) I did literally every sidequest I stumbled upon. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like them, but I did get a lot of experience for doing it.

Im not sure what you're missing here, because from my experience I'm always out level my progression quest and my gear always outdated because my leveling are faster that it should be.
I'm able to ride my chocobo at lvl 25(supposed to be lvl 20) and my access to Sastasha at lvl 20 (supposed to be lvl 15). What Ii'm done is doing all nearby quest and queue dungeon, not even touch the hunt log because at that time I didn't know that thing is exist.

Funny enough, that's how it was (I was usually above the required lvl), but then something happened. IDK if it was because I got more focused on the story or what.

Try don't too focus on main quest. What I do is pick up 1-3 quest at map with my lvl range and complete it, once done your current lvl must be about 60%+ full then go to main story, while queue for dungeons. Don't skip cut-scene or dialogue even the quest it's a normal quest because some of it are really funny and entertaining. Maybe that will ease your grinding feeling.

Do the Main Story otherwise everything will become grindy/repetitive, a lot of content is locked behind the Main Story.
If you are now much higher level than story line then you should be able to catch up quickly. Many of the quests just give you the run-around which is annoying but its meant to give you xp boosts. Since you don't need that boost it will be specially annoying, so it's best to keep up with it.

I guess what I mean is that there's no point in being a high level and only be able to do the lowest dungeons and FATEs. That would actually be worse imho.

Do the main story quests and skip the cut scenes, the story is boring dialog at times. I'm 5 levels too high because I did all the quests in the areas the story took me too and did fates waiting for the dungeons. LVL 25 here and just got my chocobo. Don't be afraid to use teleports once you touch all those crystals. You'll have plenty of money to spare and cut time dramatically.
