After a month or so I ended up with this one~

I fed it only G3 food from rank 1 - 50 using MGP.

I seem to have hit a stamina problem and I've tested different things, hold W entire race, let go when Lathered hits, let go of W and wait for speed to almost drop all the way down then hold W.
While doing this I avoid all stamina related items but again the same problem happens, I run out of stamina around 70~80% progress of the course and the NPC overtake me and I drop down to 6-8 place at finish.
I had some mixed results but holding down W entire race and keep myself ahead enough so when I do run out of stamina, I am so far ahead that the NPC just wont make it past me before race finishes.
The NPC seem to never run out of stamina at all like the player even when I hit them with multiple Bac. water during a race and I am the one who run out of stamina first.

wow thats disappointing :/ so either npcs are cheating or there is some trick we didnt figure out yet.

exactly, thats why feeding with high grade food gives you an advantage over the others (npcs), while simply having a higher pedigree does not. but if even full grade 3 food doesnt help then i dont know either XD

The match is decided because you are unable to do anything unless you have dash, sprint shoes or graviball

Im not a fan of the changes. At all. Feels much less like racing and more like item management. If I dont start running until about 30% through the course, I have zero stam at the finish line. If I manage to stay in the fray during the entire race, I have some stasis on me almost the whole time. Not fun anymore. Oh well.

It's because SE programmed the higher ranked NPCs to prioritize their item usage on you. The only time when they use items on each other is when they're grabbing a new power up.

It's a silly way to increase difficulty, sometimes it feels like it's a 7 vs 1 race. You'll see the AI in front of you REFUSING to use his Baccus UNTIL you pass him, even though he blatantly has 2-3 other NPCs in front of him. Not to mention they trigger AOE traps but hardly get hit by them.

The AI system needs a lot of tweaking.

Either you're trolling or you have absolutely no idea of how to race. I find it hard to believe someone who's got a P9, 19/20 near perfect Chocobo in R300 having stamina problems.

At the moment my stats are far far inferior to yours.
    Speed: 365
    Accel: 234
    Endurance: 340
    Stamina: 280
    Cunning: 252
    Rating: 230
17 sessions untrained: Racing with a handicap of 17x14 = 238 stat points missing.
I'm in R240 but I went into an R300 race anyway to test your claims about stamina problems. No items picked up, no Choco Cure III/Dash used, no speed/stamina panels touched. Just straight up plain vanilla racing.

At 40% of the race course:

Minimum lathered state, finishing with a remainder of 13.72% stamina. 8th of course, because my Chocobo is severely undertrained/underleveled for an R300 race. Teioh is in there as evidence that this is a R300 race:

Where is this 'running out of stamina at 70%-80% of the course' that you speak of? I can finish the entire course with a remarkably inferior Chocobo with stamina to spare (no abilities/items used even). Smacking an NPC with Baccus DOES affect their stamina badly unless they have an ability to remove it. Stop trolling and spreading misinformation. R300 is pretty much a straight dash and has noticeably far less obstacles than R240.

On the 1/100 chance that you really do not know how to conserve stamina, maintain your speed just before lathered state (W then release, W then release, etc). You'll get the fastest speed without the extra stamina drain from Lathered.

Uhm, you got choco cure 3. Of course you got less stamina problems. Actually R-240 is the easiest race of all, because there are so many monsters and traps, that the NPCs are killing themselves pretty quickly. This will not happen in R-300 (at least not en mass like in R-240 races).

    edit:
By the way: I would not take Choco Dash in your situation. Since you got Choco Cure, Speedy Recovery would help you much more. Dash does not really make you faster in R-300. There seems to be a max speed. Or it's a bug, don't know. It really only shines when you reach 0 stamina or to speed up again after a meteor hit. Speedy Recovery should greatly increase the power of your Choco Cure skill. (without Choco Cure, it's pretty worthless, since you seldom get a Choco Potion)

She's dominating R-300. If not "killed" with meteors or very bad luck with item RNG (for example a lot of hero potions for the NPCs), she wins races at ease and at a distance.

Average times (with pretty much no good items, but also no meteor hits): Sagoli: 82s, Costa: 88s, Tranquill: 92s.

But of course this is pretty much a close to perfect chocobo - and even with this -15% stamina drain skill, she can reach 0 stamina at 90-95% (which does not matter for her because dash 3).

So, yeah, it's doable. With a perfect chocobo.

If you read carefully, I did mention that no items nor abilities were used at all in my post. R300 is brutal in the sense that there's little obstacles so it's a straight up raw-power, stat-based race against NPCs who aren't crippled by the usual traps.

The way she posted gave the impression that no matter what she did she'll lose all her stamina at 70%-80% of the race, then end up in 7th or 8th place. With an almost perfect Chocobo. If no one stepped in, people who read it will think it's impossible to race.

Sometimes people over-exaggerate facts to lever for advantages from SE. How dishonest can people get?

I stopped racing since I got my chocobo mask since I was short on mgp to breed my p9 choco. But now that I heard all the complains of post 2.55 racing and crappy covering chocobo, I'm not too sure if I should get back to racing anytime soon. And all that crappy stats from covering chocobos (< 20/40 stars from lineage) really doesn't help much either. With all the RNG involved in Chocobo (MGP) Bleeding, I really hope they can do something about the average flooring stats of covering chocobo. Hell, my past 15+ covering chocobo from p6 onwards have similar to worst stats than the starter chocobo with 20/40 stars from lineage. At least the covering cost is much cheaper now :/

You are showing this but i can see you are behind all npc, you hadn't struggle with others npc, neither of them block you or use any offensive ability/item.
The weather is cloudy at first and heatwaves at finish, your chocobo's stamina is not punished than a "fool".

Cunning is another factor people doesn't take. Each time you move between lines, you are losing speed and your stamina is drained.

The point is using "Increased Stamina" ability is more useful when you do the hold 'w' and release
