I feel silly doing the lvl50 CUL quest yesterday and not waiting until today to see if there are any changes.
If you speak to swift he say that no one knows that she is dead and that Raubhan got jailed (because it would cause a civil war), also a crystal brave in Ul'Dah said that our allies were emprisonned, but is he talking of some crystal braves or of Minfilia and the others ?

That would have to walk a very fine line. It's like with Louisoix, where going back on the death would negate the emotional impact of this patch's contribution to the story and give people trust issues. It's not the ambiguous fade to black / white / flames that not-death-deaths can take advantage of (see: the scions), she hits the floor and NPCs give their he's-dead-Jims, and then Raubahn loses everything over it. For SE, going back on that would be... complicated. Lolorito would have had to have staged the death even to Nanamo, herself, and then they'd have to navigate a minefield of character development getting out of it. (Not that I don't think they could; in the end, SE fully respected Louisoix's sacrifice even though I thought for sure they were going to cheapen the hells out of it once I saw him in Turn 1.)

I can't agree with this enough. I can see Kan-E-Senna helpless to do anything; there's no way to reason with or give succor to that situation. But Merlwyb? This is the first time I've had my Limsa / Maelstrom pride shaken. In the end, I wasn't even worth some token proclamation of faith? Not even an, "It can't be," or "I won't accept that," ... just ... silence? <sadly hangs up his officer coat on the way out>

    As for Lolorito

Don't forget, the first time we ever met an Ascian in Ul'dah, he was shadowing Lolorito's men. Perhaps there may be more to this chaos than meets the eye, and more than just a selfish Lalafell's machinations.

They can't really do anything, most of the forces in Ul'Dah are monetarists, she would have just give a reason to lolorito to jail her and that would cause a war between Limsa and Ul'Dah, she knows she can't do anything so it's better for her to go away, that's what Aymeric did too, they couldn't have help in any way by staying there.

I really hope Minfilia and the others are alive, I'm so going to kill every single monetarist in Ul'Dah and the blue color of the crystal brave is going to turn red, then raise them to kill them again and again and again if not.

Somebody posted this on reddit for the i dont know if Sultana is dead, thought i would share it.

"I think she is dead, but I think Pipin will take her place. I don't think it's a coincidence that he is named similarly to Pippin so baring contradicting lore, I suspect that he is an Ul'dan Prince adopted by Rauban and concealed for his own protection."

Anybody have any lore related to Pippin?

I'm just saying! The whole trying to be a benefit to the scions as an Arcanist seemed awfully convenient to remove her from the mayhem. Possibly even contrived? The way she pulled out the waterworks to convince Alph to go to Ishgard makes me feel like she's got an ulterior motive. Probably Lolorito's girlfriend and partner in crime!

I never post in this section (or on the forums ever, really) but I really had to echo a few things. First of all, Merlwyb and Kan-E-Senna became hugely unlikable to me through all of this. I adored Merlwyb before this. However, both of them, along with Raubahn, denied substantial aid to Ishgard. To me the denial of real assistance didn't feel necessary, it felt spiteful. Yes, Ishgard ignored the Alliance's pleas for assistance but I never expected them to be so vengeful especially when it was clear that Coerthas would be vulnerable to the Empire. Then, when Alphinaud calls them out Merlwyb basically says "you'll have my opinion or you'll gtfo." It was kind of... gross. However, after Ishgard's victory they were all too ready to act like they really did anything and to take credit as if they were real allies all along. So much respect for the GCs lost right there. Raubahn was saved a bit for me with his slicey ways. The deal was sealed when Kan-E-Senna and Merlwyb scurried out like rats off a sinking ship. They are not the leaders I thought they were and I am pretty disappointed. I hope they suffer personal consequences for their inaction.

Also, Tataru seems so shady now. I remember, during her clam-digging quest, finding it so odd that she was acting like we would never see each other again. I chalked it up to foreshadowing, but found her creepy smile to be unsettling. Between that, the numbers and the reminder of how good she is with them, and her being one of the handful of scions to leave unscathed from what went on is kind of suspicious. It may be nothing, but it wouldn't be a total shock to me if she ended up having a hand in plot.

That's good reason not to act hastily, but she's never held her tongue in the past. Even if she didn't blow anybody away, she still called it like she saw it. The very same patch, she told the architect of Operation Archon and diplomatic face of the Scion cause exactly where he could stick it just because his take on a situation was too idealistic and irreverent. I mean, here's hoping that the interactions we've had with her so far have just taught her that there are times to let actions speak without words, but, as I said before, not even a single-line expression of solidarity or a "just between us" signal - a tip of the hat - that they won't leave me behind? It's as little as the commonfolk did. Even if she takes action later, it won't undo that silence, imho.

Adoptive son of Raubahn and a royalist - that's pretty much all we've got, even from The Sultana's Seven.

I picked up on a lot of the same hints, but I just don't want to believe them. In terms of "human goodness," Tataru has been made out to be the best of the best of us so far, and, though it would be slight of hand and unexpected, her betrayal at this juncture would just feel so ... manufactured. If we make it to the end of the game with just one person sticking by us, I'd want it to be Tataru. From the conditionless friendship to the comic relief, she's a fixture I've always appreciated.

They are more realistic than Alphinaud and they are right (and Alphinaud realized that, he must play by the rules if he wants to win, the world isn't all pink), they can't just ask their soldiers to stop what they were doing ( fighting beast tribes and protecting the city ) to help someone that never helped them when they wanted them to, they did send help, not a lot sure, but they did, the scene where they all congratulates each others for the battle of Ishgard is just politics, it's outrageous of course but at least they try to do their best for their people. Again, when they leave it's because they can't do anything to help unfortunately.

I'm sorry, but why is everyone's avatar a facial expression of a character from the hilderbrand story line?
