Once again, I refer you to the other thread about the guy who farmed Ultros until his eyes almost bled for his Terra card, and it is one of the longest threads on this forum. Yeah, I think my reasoning still applies.
And yet even with RNG to the EXTREME they have the card and the next content update is still months away. You can farm Terra w/e you want, The 650-700 Ultros they farmed in 3 weeks. Coil players would only get 3 chances at their drops. SE will prob raise the % at a later date. Their is no reason anytime soon for them to change it when for the next 3 months their will be no new content

You have managed to completely miss the point I was trying to make. You think spending hours and days and losing sleep trying to grind for something that is completely reliant on RNG and has no chance of award for those who cannot afford to do that is okay. You also do not know the difference between "their" and "there", so I'm done trying to convince you otherwise. The system is flawed, period. And yet even with RNG to the EXTREME they have the card and the next content update is still months away. and sorry, if I don't care to use correct grammar when I'm in an argument about how life isn't fair gimme things, because that's all your doing. "Someone got it on first try why didn't I I should be entitled to something without having to worry about how % works and law of averages."

Yep, cause I can totally earn the Lightning card some other way. Wait, lemme' go cheat my way to the top of the Tournament board to earn it, 'cause the Tournament is flawless as well, correct?

That's just the point.
Doing something 92857698248097355 times and having NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT is just not how a game should be designed. And no, don't even bring up the fact that you get MGP from this because earning MGP =/= Lightning card (in this case).
It's a perception, and perceptions vary. I'm sorry to say that yours isn't the only one that's correct. It's like doing T7 over and over and over again (as a healer) and the healer robe JUST WOULD NOT DROP.
While T7 =/= challenging Tataru, the concept is the same.
And I think giving players the perception of doing content over and over again and having nothing to show for it is just bad. Not just for FFXIV, but for any MMO.
It has NOTHING to do with entitlement.
And what about the perception of only having to do content a limited number of times to achieve the rewards and then having nothing left to do. Their has to be ways to artificially lengthen content and RNG is a great way. Your not time gated so you can do the content whenever you want. Accessibility for most of the NPCs even with bad decks or bad luck on the rules is rather low. And i'm sorry if there's a card or 2 or maybe even a handful that just won't drop to you. But those cards you got? Ya someone else is having a difficult time getting it. But, it is a necessary evil to prolong content until new content is out. Most steps of the Relic weapon by majority were thought of as bad due to RNG but guess what, after time when their was more overall content it was eased.
