You have chosen to leave out what the majority of people in this thread have stated. None of us have a problem with RNG. We have a problem with RNG after a certain point with no benefit to having done it over and over and over again. And she's right, just because it has worked in your favor does not make certain aspects of it an okay system. You're also not complaining about it because it has obviously worked in your favor, yet here you are defending it and saying that I'm crying because I've had about a thousand matches with a stupid NPC and have nothing to show for it because guess what? I can buy the gold MGP packs to try for the other cards, but I constantly get duplicates and yet to have seen a Zidane or WoL after buying 120 packs. That is RNG and I have no problem with that, but your argument of saying this kind of system is okay because "oh you still get MGP" is a very weak one at that.

RNG to a certain point is still RNG. I could of bought nanamo or almost have bought cloud already, but I wasted all my mgp on gold packs. Last week alone I spent 165k MGP on Gold Packs. I had 2.8k MGP in return to show for it after I sold everything. People who have bad RNG don't have bad RNG on everything.
They've already nerfed npcs so you can win against them more often to try to help a little. They have Platinum Packs that will probably have some of these cards that are hard to get in it to help. (Platinum pack has 8 cards 4 of which are highly likely to be the 4 tournament cards Lightning/Cecil/Firion/Tidus leaving 4 other cards in those packs.)
The fact that you could even get Lightning should be enough since beforehand you could only get it once per 2 months in a broken tournament. SE is doing more then enough already
I'm surprised you are still advocating a terrible aspect of a system, despite multiple people telling you that it is flawed and needs to be changed. Really is like arguing with a brick wall. =/
Or just someone being grateful for given the opportunity to acquire a card that I wouldn't of had a chance at for over another month till next Lightning Tournament
RNG is exactly that. RNG. It will inevitably favor some people (like you for example), and it will inevitably disfavor some. (Like myself and many others in this thread, and other threads if you look hard enough.)
The fact that SE nerfed an NPC, then bring on another NPC who is even worse is not doing them any favors.
The fact that you could get Lightning should be enough? Um, okay. Why put something in a game when RNG continues to rule that we're not going to get a card?
Am I the only one here talking to a wall?
You act like RNG will never give you the card. I'll tell you what. When next Lightning Tournament comes around, if you happen to get top 3 and get Lightning and Tataru still hasn't put out then ya for you then the RNG was detrimental. But if you get her before you would from a Top 3 that only comes once every 2 months if you place on your server. SE did you a favor even with the bad RNG compared to what it was originallyRNG is exactly that. RNG. It will inevitably favor some people (like you for example), and it will inevitably disfavor some. Myself and a good number of other people who have expressed their concerns about RNG. I don't know why you're ignoring them when there is CLEARLY a problem with this method. And this isn't the only thing RNG hasn't given me, but we won't go into that since this is just about Triad.
I am done. I am STILL talking to a wall.
Solution in my opinion would be for every 100 wins (no lightning card dropped), the percent chance to drop is increased by say 3% which is not too extreme. When it does drop then the drop rate resets back to default. I am currently coming up towards 600 wins with no lightning card so in theory that would give me an increase chance to drop by 18% using that solution which is reasonable. I cannot see how anyone would be against that sort of system. It doesn't hurt those with good luck but benefits those with extreme levels of bad luck.
