The point of my post is that if you can 'beat' the game the you can have your rewards, if you can just trudge along then you'll have to live with not getting everything as fast.
My only use of BiS was in reference being full ironworks which is also a dps loss for some, I'm aware of this, but the point of this was just to have gear, not BiS, in which case Coil is still the top of the cake with potentially unlimited Drops, Coats, Twines and Encrypted Tomes.

You can still get 5400 poetics before xpac, even if you just start this week. Does anyone at this point need more tomes than that?
When in doubt, assume sarcasm
You don't need BiS 130 to clear coil either, so this isn't the greatest argument.
Anyone who took a break from the game and is just returning because of the 3.0 hype. Anyone who just recently started playing the game. Anyone who plays more than 2-3 jobs and doesn't FCoB.
There's already precious little to do right now even if you do FCoB, so it's not surprising that people are upset about the weekly cap on poetics remaining.

If I took a break for 3 months and came back, I'd expect to be about 3 months behind the players who hadn't stopped. Anyways, I don't see how these situations contradict what I said. 5400 poetics can get you a full set before xpac, even if you literally have 0 right now. You can get enough twine/coats from the weekly to upgrade every single piece to 130 and have a full 130 set. That's all still assuming that you started today from 0 tomes, which a large majority of current players are not. If you play 2-3 jobs and have 0 tomes (really, these examples are getting a bit out there) then yes, you may have to settle for some 120 gear on a class that you hardly play. Oh well, those overworld trash mobs will die .000001 seconds slower.Anyone who took a break from the game and is just returning because of the 3.0 hype. Different play styles and such, so I can understand people being a bit bummed, but I don't see why there was such a certain expectation that they would remove the cap. SE hadn't said anything to that effect, and while I can understand why a few people would want it, it really wouldn't be a huge deal for most players except to gear out jobs that they never use.

I wasn't expecting anything since poetics were not mentioned at all prior to the patch, so I'm not sure why people expected otherwise either. Was just trying to explain why 5400 might not be enough for everyone. Plus it doesn't change that a lot of people are probably logging on once per day for expert roulette and logging off at this point. At least raiders can farm FCoB and have more to do than the 1-2 hours clearing t10-t13. I am already so sick of WoD that I can't even stomach the idea of farming it for 120 gear... Maybe that's just me, though.Different play styles and such, so I can understand people being a bit bummed, but I don't see why there was such a certain expectation that they would remove the cap. I don't care either way since I'm using the time between now and 3.0 to work on my gaming backlog. :P
NINJA EDIT: Forgot to mention that 5400 is enough for armor/accessories, but not enough for armor/accessories AND an encrypted tome weapon (if you're really just returning to the game or new and have 0 poetics, or if you play more than a couple of jobs)

I'm not upset by it. But, I am a bit perplexed. My static broke up. And I'm not going to waste time "farming" in pugs. Will just focus on my crafters and do some Work here and there until 3.0. Not a big deal that they didn't uncap them, but I don't really understand why they didn't.
Do some WoD*

Should have saved poetics in case they didn't uncap its been known for weeks that the tomb was coming today. Have a feeling most of this is stemming from the tomb and people not having saved their poetics so now they have to wait 3 weeks like normal.
