Do you have any cross-class skills? If you haven't leveled your other classes (ESPECIALLY CUL and ALC) to 15, you're missing out on some key tools for crafting HQ items more easily. CUL's Hasty Touch allows you to improve Quality without spending nearly as much CP, and ALC's Tricks of the Trade allow you to recover large amounts of CP over the course of a synth. The more CP you have, the better off you are.

The crafting system in FFXIV is designed so that using cross-class skills from pretty much EVERY class are essential at one point or another. Leveling other classes is NOT optional if you want to be a successful crafter; you want them all to 15 for certain, and all to 50 ideally.

When it comes to Ixali dailies, a crafter who has ALL classes leveled to 15, but none higher than 16, is at a better advantage than a crafter who levels ONE class to 50, but has all other classes at 0.

If I remember correctly, make sure not to take on all the crafting debuffs at once. Each CP debuff stacks, so you'll only want to have one at a time. Assuming that's the issue, of course.

    Dire wolf.

Are you using inner quiet to help boost quality? If you have the CP for it, have you tried great strides?

Well the problem is I only have like 30 CP to use which is lame in the last step I had like 200 lol dang synch and no I have goldsmith at like 20 but that's it like I said not a crafter at all I'm just after my Direwolf cause think nin would look awesome riding it lol

So how long would it ta ke to get cul and alc to 15 do you think? Would it be worth it solely for beastman?

Not long. You can get any craft to 15 easily just by the materials from the tradecraft merchants in town.

That sounds like you're getting hit by double debuffs. While all the previous ranks only gave one type, the final coerthas have 3 possibilities - no cross class, -150 CP, 50% CP. Just click on the debuff icons after completing a quest to start fresh for the next and avoid double penalties. On a controller, use select to move around the UI, then once you're on the buffs, use the right of the dpad to highlight the ixali one and select with x.

You can pretty much level any crafting class to 15 without setting a foot outside of the guild, in about an hour or two.

On the topic of multiple crafting debuffs, at Honored level, different quests will give you different debuffs. Some debuffs greatly reduce your CP available, some restrict your ability to use cross-class skills, and so on. While I don't remember which quests give which debuffs, I know that they are grouped in the following ways:
    - West for Fishing, Your Gil's No Good Here, and Mining for Compliments all give you the same debuff
    - In Case of Emergency and We Fly High (Squawkin') both give you the same debuff
    - A High Wind in Ishgard and Bring Your Own Ectoplasm both give you the same debuff

You don't actually receive the debuff until you ask Norbettaux (the crafting station guy) for the materials you need to synth. So, if your open quests are A High Wind in Ishgard, Bring Your Own Ectoplasm, and We Fly High (Squawkin'), you could get materials for the first two safely (you'll only get one debuff), but if you get materials for the third as well, you'll get a SECOND debuff, making all three synths very difficult.

To solve the problem, ONLY pick up materials for quests with the same debuff, or if that's too complicated, only pick up one set of materials at a time. When you're done crafting the items for your current debuff, remove the debuff from your status bar by clicking on it. Then, pick up the materials for the next quest. Craft, then remove the debuff. And so on.

Watch your status icons when doing Ixali Honored quests. If you have more than one crafting debuff, you've done it wrong and made things MUCH harder on yourself. To fix, just click one off.
