Thread: Dedicated Thread for Patch 2.55 Story Discussion/Spoilers

A few thoughts after having seen the final cutscenes. Things that have yet to be shown:

1. Riol's current whereabouts. We can assume that Alianne was unfortunately assassinated prior to the coup. Laurentius and Yuyuhase are still ranking members of Crystal Braves as well and we will have to contend with them eventually.
2. Ascians have their hands in both bowls when it comes to Ishgard. They've been seen behind the Holy Seer, and they also gifted Ysayle with the information of how to summon the more powerful Shiva EX. They're pretty omniscient at this point.
3. Pretty sure Minfilia is safe, despite severing from us at the end of the secret tunnel. Definitely curious as to her reasoning for splintering.
4. I find it hard to believe that the other scions bit the dust too, especially considering the popularity of Y'shtola. We'll need more information to go on before we can write them off.
5. I want to say that Ilberd is probably deadif Raubahn is still alive but in custody. There's no way I can imagine both of them living after that encounter.
6. I want my Nanamo back.

I doubt it. They wouldn't make a character SO damn loathed and then have him killed off-screen. For Ilberd, I want an execution at least as spectacular as Teledji's - and I'd preferrably have it happening at our characters' hands. They'll probably use the "guards arrived and restrained Raubahn" approach. No way does that guy just die off-screen now.

Thoughts on this

I kind of figured almost the whole main cast was going to die. Most likly to make room for new characters. But come on Y'shtola getting replaced with Yugiri no thanks.

I really hated

that I wasn't even given the chance to try and resist arrest after the poisoning. I could've taken those shits. I was giving Teledji the most frustrated look until Raubahn finally sliced him. And then I wanted to stay and help Raubahn but noooo gotta escape. Then was forced to continually leave people behind. So frustrated!

e: also, since this update, Raubahn is pretty much Basch fon Ronsenberg in terms of story.

Totally with you. Every time I was all "No, I'm staying! I can handle them!" but nooo.

Hey, so, this is the dedicated thread for story spoilers. Let's drop the spoiler tags. Anyone entering here knows exactly what they're here for, there's no accidental spoilering going to happen here. I'm pretty sure what the CM meant in the OP is that we should use spoiler tags if we make spoilery posts in OTHER threads, besides this one.
