    This is an important distinction to make in threads like this. There's a big difference between a Monk losing their stacks because they screwed up and losing their stacks just because of [relatively] uncontrollable fight mechanics.

    With that being said, I don't think the answer should be increasing GL's duration. Either having it "ramp down" or giving us a short-CD ability that refreshes/maintains GL would be better solutions than simply making it last longer.

    I wouldn't mind seeing some change to make it less debilitating. I was fine with Mnk being terrible at everything but high uptime boss fights when the gap was so big between us and other dps. Now the gap is minimal, if not gone, which is fine. I'm not crying about that. But why should we continue to be awful in dungeons and open world when we're not OP at anything else? I'm actually fine with the current Mnk mechanics for raiding. I can generally find ways to keep my stacks up and if I mess up once, oh well, I can still put up decent numbers. But having to ramp up for every group of monsters in a dungeon from scratch is lame. I already get boned when I'm trying to hit positionals and the tank is moving or I'm soloing something. Isn't that enough?

    I know people will say "Only raids matter" and such but I still have to cap off my tomes every week and I spend more time not raiding than I do raiding. FCOB has been very kind to Mnk but, like the thread creator said, I doubt every fight created going forward is going to be designed so favourably. I totally appreciate they wanted to level the melee playing field but I think they need to do Mnks a solid outside of raiding so we're not just a one trick pony that's trick is arguably not a trick at all.

    This is precisely why ive been playing drg more than mnk lately. Its so painless to do quest and other open world thing as drg

    Also id be very surprised if mnk doesnt get either increased damage or longer gl, because at this point, the extra dmg from mnk is nothing compared to the reliability of nin and drg
