Garuda, ifrit, Titan ex during the relevant cycle were a decent challenge, particularly because weak links could cause wipes. They weren't on the level of coil, but they offered a fun challenge for the mid level with decent rewards.

Shiva Ex is on a different level of face roll than the rest. Can't remember the last time I cleared Ifrit, Ramuh, Titan or Mog Ex in DF.

I have been playing since release, so i pretty much know how they were in the beginning and the fact that you even call Garuda Ex a decent challenge back then, is kind of a big joke right? Because even in the beginning it was easier than Titan HM.
