Something about what the Miqo'te's wearing...

I was looking at the picture for the new Event and Party recruitment guide and I notice something in particular, particularly what the female Miqo'te was wearing...



The skirt looks a lot like the Miqo'te loincloth, only in black. And the two leg bands right between the skirt and thighboots looks similar to that of the female Hyur's skirt. Is it possibly a new skirt design (as judged by the band) or are racial/starting clothes will finally be able to come in different colors (The ribbon on top of the tail hole looks like that of the Miqo'te loincloth.

It is a nice outfit, but at this point I'm going to call this artistic freedom. It would be nice if the starting gear was dyable though, would certainly make for some interesting glamours.

I wouldn't think too hard about it, almost all 'event' artwork released for FF as a few bits in it thats is there entirely for looks. The little ladies day for example was showing a cute cat, could have been a minion, (I mean theres a black one at the MGS, a white one would have been nice too...) instead we got housing stuff. and a choker. /slightlybitter

Now that I'm actually switched to a Hyur alt for comparison, it looks like the Miqo'te is wearing the female Hyur starter set (save for the Light Steel Galerus) although in different colors. I'm hoping that it means that we can wear other races' outfits (with different colors of course), but I doubt it.

Though if it's true that it's only for "artistic freedom," I'm going to be very annoyed with how much of a tease this is...

Just artistic freedom. The Christmas event did a similar, people wanted the gloves/christmas puppy/christmas behemoth in the artwork on the website advertising the event, but they weren't available in-game.

Miqo'te skirt, the gloves and boots from the first three dungeons(the acolyte set?), the coliseum chestpiece(the melee/bard DPS one).

Speaking of artistic freedom, remember when everyone thought this was going to be the WHM AF2 set?

Now that we've seen the teaser for 3.0, I can't help but be disappointed how "nun" like the real AF2 is going to be.

that is because ppl jump the gun, I don't remember SE has never say it is WHM AF2.

OP: that boots have similar version of it from the GC boots or the acolyte boots from sastasha, I believe
