If you undercut an item that was selling at 680k to 450k, you're only shorting yourself

Only true if it's actually *selling* at 680k. If someone has listed it at that price but it's still sitting there unsold, that's an entirely different matter. Yet I've heard of people still complaining about big undercuts even then.
