Cannot login main character only: Lost connection to the server 90002

I was suddenly disconnected from gameplay and sent to the lobby server. I've since exited the game completely, rebooted my pc, waited a half hour and still only my main character cannot login. I can get in on any other character in any other data center or the same one, even the same server, even with a new character on the same server or another datacenter. Only my main character is affected in any way. Please help asap.

Are you getting the dreaded Error 3102? You probably need to put in a ticket at the help website.

They may need to move your character or properly log it out somehow.

Oh shoot.. I think this just happened to me too. Been playing all morning. Exit game. Came back and now same error, never seen this before or had any issues. Bout to test if another char works...

..and yep, other char works lol. So what is this? My main character is stuck in some void?

They have different URL's based on your region. Best to either hit the Support button at the bottom of the launcher, or you can click the Square-Enix logo in the upper left corner of this forum to get to their global landing page, click for your region, then scroll to the bottom of that page and click on the link for Support.

Ultimately, they make you do a search on your problem first to see if there isn't already a FAQ/KB article that addresses your issues. You can just click to continue on through and eventually you will get to complete a form to submit a formal ticket (note that it will save what you searched on and put it in the form, so be sure to search on relevant terms). Eventually, you will get presented with contact options--phone, email, or chat. Sometimes the chat option won't be offered based on the category though, and I think it is only open during weekdays.

I logged out this morning around 11:30 eastern time. Had been playing all morning for a few hours. Have never had a single error message before. I logged out in Gold Saucer btw.

I checked out the support site but there's no way they're going to see it today, there's no phone or chat service on Sunday. I'm logged in on another character and submitted a ticket. This character I'm logged in on the forum with is the one being affected.

EDIT: WELP looks like it's hit reddit too, so this is widespread

Yeah, it just happened to me as well. I haven't tried with another character, but I've tried pretty much everything else. I was worried something was going down with my internet, so I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one affected by all this! I DC'd at the Lavender Beds I believe, and when I came back I was DC'd. Launching the game works fine, but the moment I try to sign onto my main, I get to a loading screen and then Error 90002.

Yeah it seems more people are slowly being affected by it. Agreed, glad it wasn't my internet. Ah well, I guess back to other mmos.

Seems like I've been hit with it too~ x.x let me log in on one of my alts, but my main character keeps getting 90002 .. Logged out of the game last night in Mist, so no idea why this happened.
