    Weather in Chocobo racing

Anybody else think conditions like clouds, fog and rain, especially rain, happen way to often and have way to much of an impact on racing? I am up to lvl140 on the racing circuit and these conditions seem to happen 85% of the time and it prevents me from doing anything for over half the race.

It has gotten to the point where if I see a race start with rain or clouds (clouds almost always seem to become rain) I just afk it due to the fact that no matter how well I race, having permanent heavy status puts me at almost zero chance of placing high and zero chance of winning because my fair weather Chocobo gets messed up so much from the conditions.

For a desert Sagolii should be a damn ocean by now with how much it rains there. Do players with Foul weather Chocobos find it the opposite, that it is always clear, sunny or a heatwave is in effect?

With that said, yes I do think the 'bad' weather happens way too often, and I think the weather chages way too much over the course of a race too. I'm on my 2nd fair weather bird at the mo, and it really does rain waaay to often. just as an example, on one race it was raining at the start. About half way through it changed to cloudy. I though "looks like it's clearing up, I might stand a chance...". No. Within what seemed about 5-10 seconds of the weather changing to cloudy, it was back to rain again. I know the weather system got effed up during the realms rebirth, but come on.

I've got a couple of lower generation foul weather chocobos. They were good, if not great, no matter the weather. If things don't improve after Tuesdays patch, I'll be very tempted to throw all progress on my way to G9 out the window, and start over via my 2 lower gen foul birds. (in the hopes weather preferences are hereditary) Maybe it's just the stats on my current birds suck more than I think they should, but it's not fun atm either way.
