Confirmation Prompt for "Sort" command, please!

Can we have confirmation prompts for confirmation prompts too?
Sorry, I'm the opposite. I like to be able to quickly sort my gear without another confirmation box.

Ugh please no confirmation on Sort. I use it all the time... the only time I don't is on one of my retainer's where I have everything sorted by gearset. Of course, Nothing gets discarded in there.

No, Gill, I've been misunderstood. I'm not asking for a Confirmation Prompt, I'm asking for a Confirmation Prompt OPTION.
If you check you Character Configuration menu you will notice that other Confirmation Prompts already can be checked or unchecked.
In fact, if you don't like having Confirmation Prompt, you can remove them flagging off that option.
I would like there to be an option like the ones already there for selling items to the vendor, a simple "Use Confirmation Prompt for Sort command." to make you choose if keep it flagged or unflagged.

About organization method I'm not against it, the problem with Sort command is that it shuffle useless things like gil items among your useful-first-page items. People usually keep important stuff first and then sellable/storable things on the other inventory pages. If they get shuffled within, it becomes a mess.

He didn't say it in the nicest of ways, but it's true FF14 UI has too much redundancy.. I don't need 3 different confirmations to be sure when I put an item into my fc chest... Also, what's with the FC chest deposit to begin with anyway?? You can't just right click and have it go in the first available slot, you have to actually drag every little thing one by one.. On a controller that's probably not an issue but it's annoying to drag mouse back and forth 50 times just to fill a tab.. Only to take it back out a little bit less inefficiently (right click actually works for taking items OUT.. I wonder why the difference is there) soon after.

Yes, in that case I'm 100% behind UI customization. The game really could use a lot of.. I mean a LOT of UI customization. That's why I can't wait until addons are introduced.. But seriously, when ARE we getting addons?

Wonder how difficult it would be to add an extra option on a single button. Say sort is a clickable button that will sort upon command but you can descend within that menu with options like advanced sort settings, search for specific item, save/load sort, and undo.

Example is like right clicking on your desktop you get a basic menu (as you would right clicking on an item) and then you can go to "sort by" and get more options, but in this case the "sort by" button itself would be "sort" a left clickable action while perhaps a right click would show you the nested menu. Probably not a feature to be added in a few minutes, maybe a lot of work - though I'd be a little disappointed if it wasn't a feature-able possibility given they are trying to bring addon support.

"Sort" command is a little too close to "Discard" command and it often happens I have a misclick on that that screws all my inventory and takes a lot to put things back like they were.
Can we have at least the option to put a Confirmation Prompt for that? There is a similar option for other Prompts already.

This would be great but only for the 0.00000001% players who cant click on a function properly (cant imagine people like that during a fight lol)

Btw, sort already puts items together by category unless you're very specific about organization method once you get used to it, I'm sure you'll find it to be rather convenient.

This is actually one of the few things in the game that should indeed have a confirmation prompt. Sort screws up any sort of custom organising.

Might I enquire what happend to your ability to sort on-topic and off-topic matters? Or to actually have valid points. I don't see what the many redundant confirmation options have to do with requesting a confirmation option in a place where it would actually be of use.
