Make all glamour available for all classes except for job icon gear.
For example, a Bard cant wear a BLM cant wear a SMN coat and so on.

No thanks. I'd actually prefer if they tightened the glamour restrictions a bit more. Tanks shouldn't be able to run around and tank effectively in robes or swimwear, for instance. And mages shouldn't be able to fight in heavy armor.
You can play any class in this game. If you want to fight in a robe, be a mage. If you want to fight in armor, be a tank. I think stuff like swimwear should be of course equippable by all but it should be unglamourable so that if you want to wear it in town, fine, but this way it would not be usuable in battle.
Just my opinion, of course.

Hyperbole, much?
I think it's more fun to play alongside magey-looking mages and armorey-looking warriors. I think its fun to be able to look at someone and tell what kind of role they would play in combat by the garb they carry into battle.
This topic is all opinion though, so you will find no right or wrong answers in this thread.

I short, turn all gears into "all classes" gears?
In short, turn "all classes" gears into "DoH and DoL only" gears?
There is only 1 way how SE can change it and that have been proved that it work.
get away with requirements on gears and bring back favoured classes and optimal level. Synch the stats down if you wear it not with a favoured class or not with the optimal level.

Except the tank isn't tanking in a robe. It's just a magical image of the robe. The actual gear is still there. No thanks. I'd actually prefer if they tightened the glamour restrictions a bit more. Real tanks go swimsuit, There's an urban legend that says that YOU ONLY ACHIEVE the supreme skill at tanking if you go with skimpy clothes or swimsuits!.... Personally I tried it out at a time and didn't see the effect, so came back to my style >_<... But with so many tanks like that.. The legend must be right! No thanks. I'm all for glamour freedom.
I don't get all of the defenses saying things like "tanks should always wear armor"
Isn't the lore behind glamouring that magic is masking the true appearance of armor/clothes with the appearance of another piece? So technically a tank in a bikini is wearing armor, magic is just masking its appearance.
The fact that if a tank just wears a bikini directly, they'll take a massive amount of damage also supports this.
That said, if I'm correct, there's no reason for restricting anything at all. There's a lore reason that conveniently allows for ultimate freedom without having to cause breaks in immersion for anyone.

Lore-wise, sure. But it just detracts from the overall fantasy aesthetic of the game.
Remember, Lore can be used to creatively explain ANYTHING. That's a given and not really in itself a reason to justify things. (imo)

I'm afriad the fantasy argument is against you

"A garb imbued with the soul of the warrior. It increases the wearer's physical damage and maximum HP.
A warrior soul. Which is a tank in FF14
