Found one of my old journal entries on the old 1.0 lodestone back in 2012 talking about 2.0 and the future of linkshell housing and my idea on it.
Version 2.0 and the housing concept.
I dreamed big but not big enough in SE's mind lol. xD those prices are dirt cheap compared to what we pay now. The housing system is far from anything like how I pictured it to be lol.. But it is an instanced community area with some NPC's. They also did add the repair NPC, and material NPC, and can open up our house to public/keep it closed to FC. Ah well.. I guess I was kidding myself to make housing and HQ's easier on everyone to obtain. The reality turned out it would be more fun to limit things and make it hard to obtain for the majority in 2.0 xD

I like how your idea for house prices are 100k, 500k and 1 million. I could afford a large house if that were the case!

lol, I could farm up the funds for a small house in about 20 minutes. Housing is a bit pricey if you want to be very casual about it, but it's not difficult to get enough money for a small house (medium and large are a bit tougher if you're looking for that solo). Some servers are having issues with housing availability, and that's really short sighted of them, but there are also some servers where you can save up for a week or two and just buy a small plot hassle free (assuming you don't find saving gil to be a hassle).

Yea gil is easy to make both in 1.0 and this version. Was just an example tho xD but the concept and idea was nice. having a huge building for the HQ and then being able for members to buy plots around that to make a smaller community and having a market section in the middle with retainers of your members. Having other FC's/people visiting your little community and shopping etc xD but yea the idea back then was designed around LS's and how the market wards were set up in 1.0. But a lot has changed since then, now there are FC's (not a thing in 1.0) and wasn't really a market board, was something similar but not as good. *shrugs* oh well we got what we got! Just need to make the most of it xD
