Why would anybody want this? That sounds profoundly lame. I can't imagine this appealing to any one over the age of 14. Please god stop with the threads, they're all the same, they're never constructive - ever.
What you said wasn't constructive all you do is come on theses threads to blast others ideas. The current Summoner is already a poor imitation of the WoW Warlock anyways so adding Incarnate Summoning which is similar to WoW Warlock Metamorphisis is more than reasonable and constructive.

WHAT!?SE has created 3 Methods of Summoning in Final Fantasy
Partner Summoning - Summon Summoned Monsters as an ally to fight by the player size which is the method of Summoning most people know.
Society Summoning- The Summoning Method Beasts Tribes uses to Summon their God
Incarnate Summoning- The Summoning method used in FFXIII by Ciaus to when he manifested Bahumat in his own body transforming into the Eidolon. Louisoix Leveilleur used Incarnate Summoning to Summon the Primal Pheonix and Lady Iceheart uses Incarnate Summoning to Summon Shiva.
Incarnate Summoning is an ability that can be given to the Summoner and work similar to WoW Warlock Metamorphosis where the player transforms into the Demon temporaraly with a 10s cool down.
First off, Louisoix didn't summon Phoenix, he became the primal Phoenix, technically the people of Eorzea summoned Phoenix.
Second, Shiva is a little different, but essentually Iceheart and Shiva are the same person, debatable, maybe, but they are the same. Iceheart didn't summon an already existing primal and merge with it, as you are indicating. She essentually created the "new primal" Shiva, by channelling her "aether" into her own body, to either enhance her own skills, or to act as a vessel for Shivas will. But either way she didn't merge with a primal, she merged with aether and created/turned into a primal, similar to Louisoix.
And lastly, there has never been incarnate summons as you indicate. The XIII-2 reference you made is a little different since Caius held the heart of chaos within him. He mearly changed the vessels form, ie into bahamut, he didnt summon and merge with him, at least that was my interpritation.
No summoner has ever summoned a seperate entity and merged with them.
Why are you so "passionate" about these, outlandish, changes that don't even make sense in any summoner lore.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

Though not a summoner, I do say TOUCHE, lol
I never said outright, Lady Iceheart and Shiva are the same person, I said essentually they are; and even then I said it was debatable. But I will slightly clarify what I meant, Lady Iceheart and the "primal" Shiva are essentually the same person. But again we aren't fully aware of how this is being played with.Shiva and Lady Iceheart aren't the same person. Saint Shiva is the woman who sided with the Dravanian Hord of Midgardsormr during the Ishgaurd War while Lady Iceheart is an Elezen Woman who is the leader of the Harriers. The people of Eorzea didn't summon the primal Pheonix they helped summon the power of the twelve but Louixoix summoned Pheonix by himself.
My suggestions are reasonable since SE to inspiration from the WoW Warlock to come up with Summoner
In 3.0 SE said they are only adding new job actions which means most of the Summoner's new abilities will like
based around the Pet we will be getting something akin to the WoW Demology Warlock spec where most of our rotation is focused around transforming into the Primal.
And where are you getting the info about Louisoix? The Bahamut story line even states that, "the prayers of everyone in Eorzea transformed him into the primal Phoenix." I'm not ever guessing here based on hearsay, that is literally what they say happened. Yes, It was his prayer too, but it was the combined prayers that allowed the twelve to answer His wish to save eorzea.

^^ please kill this thread.
SMN needs work - yes!
SMN is horrendously bad as it is - No!
SMN isnt really a rpg Summoner - Yes!
SMN is a DOT class - Yes!
Do I like the incarnate idea - No!
Do I appreciate youre ideas - Yes!
Now, this isnt ff11, this isnt ff1-13 or any other creation in between the first release and this, this is FF14 ARR. Yoshi has already said they made a mistake with SMN and it is being worked on. Until anything further is said or relased I think it would be best off to cool off and either play a different game with a SMN design you like or, sit tight and play this one.
