No one paid for the Moonlet earring though. It was given out for free before subscriptions began. And to bring up entitlement is a bit much. Why should people feel entitled to exclusivity of items that they were never guaranteed as exclusives. People paid a subscription to play a game that they enjoyed, not under some promise of exclusivity of all the items in the game. A subscription is merely a monthly price to "play" a game, not to own everything associated with it. I didn't purchase 1.0 because I would have exclusive rights over all others to items. I purchased it because i actually liked parts of the game and at no point, outside the legacy program and a few events, did the dev team ever promise that I would be the only one with said item. If that were the case, people would be up in flames about primal weapons, recoloured onion knight gear, etc . going to 2.0 players.

And on the later point, it really goes both ways. Every time something 1.0 related comes up, you have 1.0/legacy players who really don't care, 2.0 players who would like an item, and then 1.0/legacy players who spout things like "I paid for this/you don't deserve this etc." even when the item was not promised as legacy exclusive and the 2.0 players that respond to them. If you've read this thread and saw 2.0 players as the aggressors, there has to be some bias in your viewpoint. In fact, it's been pretty civil outside of the odd 1.0 throwing around their weight and proclaiming what they and others "deserve".
