I'm of the opinion that exclusive things should remain exclusive, that special event items whether from 1.0 or 2.0 should be left in the past and let the devs concentrate on new special event content to add to the game over time, and that definitely any items that were a part of the legacy campaign or any official campaign or contest or purchase or whatever should be left alone as well, though SE does have the right to do what they want within their game whether I or anyone else disagrees with it or not. They don't owe anyone anything. But I just really don't like the phrase "you don't deserve it".

Not a legacy, but I have been around for some of the 2.0 special events and not to devalue the time and effort that players put into obtaining the exclusives from events like those but what exactly did we do to get those items? Tagged a couple npcs and downed a few fates. And granted that I had to rush my way to 45 so I could complete the Lightning quests, gained a few levels, tagged a couple npcs and downed a few fates. Things that players do in this game every day, with the exception that they aren't able to earn exclusive rewards for it now. You got it in 1.0? Good, now think about what exactly you had to do to get that item (fate, instanced dungeon, questline or whatever), and then consider how available that activity is today, and add to your list that you happened to enjoy a game enough to stick around and play it despite the many faults it had. There's nobody here who "deserve" things anymore than the next person does, you were just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to get it.
