Theoretically, if it's in the retainer venture loot tables (like the geyshal ring - for instance) - a retainer could bring it home for you one day.
To be honest, I'd really like it if they sprinkled many such things from 1.0 into the loot tables for rare venture drops so that those items could re-appear in FFXIV in a relatively limited and therefore rare form.
I definitely agree that more items from the 1.0 world should come back in mysterious ways through this game. As suggested, the retainers would be a great way. A sort of exploration would be amazing where you imagine that your retainer is digging around and in the dirt, a Moonlet earring!

Would be awesome in my opinion.
...I must have been unsubbed during the time this came out, as I never heard of it, and played almost all of 1.0. Annoying. Now I want this as well.
I'd burn sooo many more Venture tokens if they added in the old lv 1 gear that any class could wear.
I want khecks glamoured on my whm damn it! :O!
Gysahl ring comes from lv45 exploration (18hr), have yet heard anyone get Moonlit earring from ventures.
Red Onion Helm and most of the other random gear comes from quick ventures
I swear, Miqote, Elezen (and maybe Lalafell) are probably the only races that can pull off a decent look with that earring without looking like there's a golf ball on the side of their head.
i got the onion pattens from a venture so its entirely possible that this is on that list.Theoretically, if it's in the retainer venture loot tables (like the geyshal ring - for instance) - a retainer could bring it home for you one day.

"Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."
Next you'll be asking for the dalamud horn...
