Incessant spam via /tell, /shout, and friend request is damaging the game experience and leading players to turn on /busy or ignore communication in their chat logs.

FFXIV's current anti-spam measures (e.g. report and ban) simply are not working, and impose a major burden on players and probably GMs as well.

Dozens of threads have been created in the forums but I have yet to see any official response to any of them.

Could you please comment in this severe problem and describe any planned changes to fight and hopefully eliminate in-game spam?

p.s. I just received 6 new spam tells while I was writing this!
