[dev1026] Please reconsider level sync "Then allowing power leveling"

I didn't play FF XI and I don't know this level sync, but how about it would be like the r40 char killing with a r20 party r25 enemys get his stats calculated down to r25 (or r20) but get the same exp like every another r40 char killing r25 enemys without calculated down stats?

Let's say your level 40 and you going to party with a friend who level 20. Your gear/stats would be calculated down to a level 20. Seeing how the gear now work about the same as FFXI level-sync or even better for that matter that half the work done. The system allow a rank 40 to party with a level 20 and get the same amount of EXP.

But i guess that where other issue start party would level sync to area that only give best EXP but that could easy be fix if they do the system right. Fixing that is better then allowing everyone to powerlevel each other seeing 8 people 7 on follow and 1 person attack all mobs then the rank 50 kill them all and each person in the party get 1-20 less then 1hour is not a good system to me.


@RabidSquirrel it's nice to have someone talk about the issue and explain why it a bad idea this was the point of the topic to talk about why or why not is a good idea what SE is doing.

I hope dev read this and we can get something from yoshi-p on who he going to deal with this issue. But from what he said it seem he does not care and allowing people do this. But i guess he does not understand that all players would do this to get max level asap. i think it best to fix this now then waste more time on it later. when he could be doing work on the other patch this is the reason this game is not done yet due to everyone complain about the patch then he have to work on making a new patch to fix issue about that patch.
