So getting 8 people level 1 and one person then attack mobs all day and get them 30 within a few hours is ok too you then? btw the PL is doing all the killing in FFXIV vs in FFXI where they just heal the party i don't know i think this one does ruined grouping. This says nothing about an XI style level sync.
Note the part that says:
system where it level syncs when entering a content,
Meaning like Toto-rak for example you may be able to level synch rather than powering through it on a 50, or it could mean an entirely new type of content which would allow for level sync (such as CoP) with special level sync gear you could obtain.
I personally think level sync is a terrible idea and ruins group leveling. Power leveling is a cop out, but it alone has never ruined grouping in an MMO.

You really think that is going to be the norm any more than it was in XI though? I don't because it requires a power leveler willing to give their time to level a group about as fast as they could level themselves if they weren't so lazy (because there is a cap on the amount of XP they can get per kill). Especially after 30 power leveling will just be a hassle that most won't bother with I imagine.
I've played a lot of MMO's with grouping, I love grouping, and of all the things I've seen in MMO's that hurt grouping power leveling was never really one of them. Usually where the is a lot of power leveling going on in a game it is because the people being power leveled are unable to form a legit group.
+1 to OP.
Not a fan of the new system.
Read what i said in the post above yours. You are ripping shit out of context.
Yeah that seems to be the trend on the forums today. I have to say the community representatives are not helping the problem with their out of context translations from Yoshi, both for the threads they inject them into and the quotes themselves, which seems to really confuse people.
I appreciate what Reinhart does, and especially because (even though sometimes I think he may not have time to always do it enough) he tries to put the translation into context of what the thread Yoshi was responding to. Without context quotations can be pretty misleading as you can see.
What the community reps do is just copy and paste the official translations of responses with their usual ambiguity and unfortunately without context. People then seize onto this as confirmation of their speculation, and run wild with it.

Obviously they are referring to raids and future instanced content where the required level is below the current level cap. I am glad because that means we all can enjoy low level raids.
No mention of level syncing out in the open world at all.

I don't see Zenaku trolling, I don't agree with him in this instance about how harmful this will be to the game, but he isn't the one throwing insults around.[Removed by Moderator according to the FINAL FANTASY XIV FORUM Guidelines.]

The whole QQ bit is old. It's pretty childish. Simply because Zenakuu has their own views and you disagree with them?
Post your own view and why you stand for it. Arguing with someone and acting this way won't win you any favor or aid you in expressing your opinion. I like to read what a lot of other people think and say. However, when it comes to that type of behavior I'd sooner ignore this person's posts in the future since they're apparently immature. I can't imagine them posting something worth reading.
As for the OP...
I don't think there's any harm in implementing a level sync option in the future. Especially if, playing with one idea, they give some extra incentive to those who are level syncing down to assist others. It could be anything. Some people might really enjoy this option when they cannot find someone willing to assist them with power leveling.
More often than not I think people will choose the option to be power leveled. When ever they are able. Although I personally think this option will only be effective so long. In example from R1-R25 as someone else mentioned earlier. This being due to the SP bonus granted throughout these levels. From this I don't think it will be a large detriment to the game since 25+ should still prove to be a bit time consuming. I understand your concern but...
YoshiP did say:
So, I will put my faith in them once more.If any loopholes are found, we would like to fix these issues as they are discovered.
