[dev1026] Please reconsider level sync "Then allowing power leveling"

it's cause to some it don't sound bad yet, but it will be. some not seen games with same issues either, and the biggest problem i think is simple, most the votes probably come from rmt, botters, pl'ers, afk'ers, cheats and people who duel box and use multiple accounts. plus the games direction is already in motion most questions or votes or threads in forums won't make a huge impact but even if it did matter most wont realize till it's already to late.

it also doesn't really matter how many players wow has, in my opinion most the players in it are there cause it was and still is one of the best cash crops. i could be wrong but that is my guess to why u would run back to that game then even playing a new mmo that is even at worse a clone ..with new gameplay, lore, story and endgames.

let them call me troll all they wants also lol, if we wrong we wrong, if we right we right, the only thing that really makes a person a troll is majority vote and i don't need to be majority. but lol i'm still holding strong waiting to see this final product when they finally say ok here it is, gimme 16bucks a month now please. so i can say ok or lmao pee on my game disc and set it a flame.

I can't agree with you more it may not sound like a issue now but i'm sure it going to be. I see this happening /sh "Powerlevel" can i have it? 100k a hour /tell or just add level sync and you would see "Level Sync 25" do you need it? 6 out of 8 /tell thank you. Everyone going to be soloing and just having a powerlevel. I love how people are if you don't want to do it don't o.o but how am i going to party with others if that all there doing? because it the best way to level up and i be low level vs all my friends who just following what other are doing?

Look at FFXI the sub job system was should to mix it up guess what happen? As a DD you need War too 50 then you have to get /NIN and you have to get /THF for farming and /Dancer for soloing. So when everyone doing it and you can't do what you want then the players force you to do it. Maybe yoshi-p does not understand this? he like if you want someone helping then ok but it's not like we can /sh for party even if we do they ask "Do you have a powerlevel?" and if you say no they like "No thanks"

I'll wait for patch to go live and see how it going to turn out but just trying to give SE a head up and maybe they go oh we never thought of that maybe we should rethink this then. That the point of the forums and that why yoshi-p wants i can't care less if i'm wrong or right i just want other to talk about it and see what they think about it then just hearing zenaQQ go back to ffxi get out of here troll when there the one trolling lol.

It's true what you say the most vote topic are the dumbest idea and the lowest vote sometime are good idea then when some person repost about the same thing with a few change here and there it get 250vote in a matter of few hours right around the patch went live not seeing that would happen with my post but that pretty much what happening with a few issue the few pass patch that went live.

Like how they mess up leves and they did not give good sp? because yoshi-p said that just for casual and not the main way of leveling up what happen? people made 5-10 topic and yoshi-p change it i wonder why? i thought it was just for casual? or he just got worry that everyone going to stop playing if he does not fix it? i wonder why he ended up changing his view of it lol.

I'll wait and see that all we can do maybe it's not that bad.

Btw the point of the forums is to talk about the new system and say we don't like it and come up with our own ideas and others to talk about and on the same topic and come up with there own ideas also about how they should or not be done. that the point of the forums or did you also forget this? i mean come on people yoshi-p have said to talk about it that why there a dev tag for it "dev1026" it's for us to talk about the issue and dislike and like about it.

It's sad that Yoshi-P has to deal with these types of problems by trying to cater to the masses.

Again, SE is not learning from their past mistakes.

FFXI allowed power levelling and it was abused, but it was not half as bad as the current way FFXIV power levelling happens.

When higher level characters can kill monsters in a party and the lower level jobs do NOTHING and level up from the higher level work that is not fair and should not be allowed. Instead of "helping" by healing from outside of the party, the PLer is doing ALL OF THE WORK. This should not be allowed under any circumstance!!

I know this will be controversial, but one needs to look at a real world perspective. PLing should be like mentoring, not cheating. Do you want your children or their classmates tutored or to have them hire someone to take the tests? How would you feel if your children were doing their own homework and studying hard while their neighbor plays video games all day and hires someone to take their tests for them. Yes, your child will be smarter in the long run, but it won't be a fair system. The life isn't fair argument does not apply. It's how you design systems and apply rules that are applicable here.

The main problem is that they do not have any method to enforce rules other than a ridiculous Special Task Force.

I never played WoW, but understand that they have something called Wardens who are like GMs, but have real authority to ban people.

If they really want to make it easier to level jobs, then I suggest that they add Fields of Valor and Adventuring Fellows to FFXIV.

If there must be PLing as Yoshi-P is intent on allowing, then it should be like FFXI and allow healing from outside the party. We need more people levelling healer jobs anyway.

also wasn't not being able to kill multiple mobs at same time cause they don't want what happened with summoner burns? why one version over another. give us a way to kill all mobs at same time then too, that was a fun part of battle system that they removed for speed grinding. and then they give us pl's in worse forms. ><

They could still add the level sync system in conjunction with the new claiming system though and then you'd have both. If anything, I am more concerned about them adding level caps to Instanced areas like Totorak.

Also it's not like r50s will be dying to PL random strangers for the hell of it. Like Yoshida said, it's something you do for friends, or for people who make it worth your while in gil.

and by powerlevel i mean just a person that heals not kills your mobs

sorry but i like that over someone killing your mobs so you can cheat yourself to max level. Yoshi-p really need to rethink this he may not find it as a cheat but most players do it's not helping others party together it making them just solo even more. He even lowering the mob poptime which mean you can PL even better -.- this is just a joke and he should really think about it before releasing this patch.

but i'll see it once it goes live 1-2week in the patch we see 10+ topic about the same or new issue this system brought to the table.
