I like the idea! ...just as soon as they add something worth gifting. As it stands now, the cash shop is just full of old event junk mostly. :-/

Very cool.
They even added it to the EU Mogstation without delays or complications!
Nothing interests me on Mogstation right now but its nice to know this feature will be around for future things I can bat my eyelashes for.
Welp, sooner or later people are gonna start attempting to sell some of this stuff on the PF for gil.

I like the idea too, and as said above, the cash shop is pretty limited to old seasonal event items right now. Sellers would only benefit from players who haven't done those events or already bought it off the cash shop. The mount and minions, maybe, or the dyes, but i can't see people paying all that much for anything but the mount which is old news by now. Next time SE puts something up for $20 or more though, they'll have to watch out.
It doesn't make it "seem" like a bad idea it outright says it's prohibited lol.Well them adding a big " * The use of gift codes for any activity relating to, or suggesting the trade of real-world money, in-game currency, or in-game virtual items is strictly prohibited." notice right on the front page makes it seem like a bad idea to try and sell the gift codes.
I reckon this is their reaction to how the whole wedding bracelet situation turned out.
"* The use of gift codes for any activity relating to, or suggesting the trade of real-world money, in-game currency, or in-game virtual items is strictly prohibited."
So people who do do this at their own discretion have only themselves to blame if they were to get banned for such practices.

Easy way to get minions now.
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
Cue the outrage over "legitimizing RMT"....As the title says:

Gifting is now available on the Mogstation via paid "gift" codes.
I think this is pretty neat! I've wanted this for a while.
I just hope we don't see an influx of "Selling Sleipnir code for 1000M"
Thoughts?
Sadly, many will attempt to exploit this feature for personal gain, while others will use it as intended and will love the feature.

I think this is fine, lovely even.As the title says:

What annoys me about the cash shop most is that we can't just LOOK/browse. We have to LOG IN to the freaking mog station to even see what's for sale. I can't/won't do that at work....
What other website forces you to LOG IN before you can even view their store?

If somebody didn't expected this then they are too naive. Of course they have to put a formal warning but such warnings/prohibitions never stopped RMT to send me 10 tells every hour past 18 months.

Just sent my buddy a Yshtola minion, he's excited. Glad SE gave us the option.
