Blizzard accepts attachments to their hacks@blizzard.com cheat report email.
Blizzard accepts attachments to their hacks@blizzard.com cheat report email. That's actually normal, because they don't want their customer service staff to accidentally open up malware attachments.
All the call centers I've worked for, the attachments are usually stripped from emails.
That said, they could just change the reporting mechanic so that it creates a screenshot, or records a 10 second video to upload when the report function is triggered. The game client already has the ability to create a screenshot.
There are some companies that do not allow attachments, such as banks and credit card companies for example. However Blizzard and NCSoft take attachments (Although unless its GW or GW2, NCSoft LOL's and trashes it) when you report cheating. SE should be able to do the same - minus the whole trashing and laughing part.Blizzard accepts attachments to their hacks@blizzard.com cheat report email.
Faster investigation, So they can slap the proper codes to deal with it.
those codes such as a 213, 310, 457 and 3613. Take notes SE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlM8rkefgoA
I'd just like to point out that we have (gotta give the guy props) a creative RMT spamming puns in Party Finder on Hyperion named "Gil Seller." I mean, it doesn't get any more blatantly obvious than that.
I've reported this RMT like 5 times this year. How long do these "investigations" usually take? A year? Longer?
Depends how far back in queue your report is for the 3 man team to sift through.I'd just like to point out that we have (gotta give the guy props) a creative RMT spamming puns in Party Finder on Hyperion named "Gil Seller." I mean, it doesn't get any more blatantly obvious than that.

There is ZERO RMT tells in Japan datacenter. I'm thinking either
1) the anti RMT team are more hardworking in GMT+7
2) no one buy gil here.

I went ahead and reported a spammer spamming /say at the Gridania aetheryte plaza last night. I received in response a form letter indicating that a bunch of other players are also reporting the same character. Several hours later the same character was still spamming at the Gridania aetheryte crystal. Sure would be nice if the game was staffed with admins who could act on low hanging fruit instead of just having someone send out a form letter and be unable to actually act on the issue at hand.
I've started reporting every single RMT I get (even though it's a huge time suck/hassle) via Contact Us > Report Cheating. This way I don't have to deal with the irksome canned response. I title them things like "RMT The War Wages On" and "RMT The NeverEnding Story". I include a copy/paste of the exact message. I'm at my wits end and honestly just figure if I'm going to get spammed then they're going to get report spammed.I went ahead and reported a spammer spamming /say at the Gridania aetheryte plaza last night. SE... dedicated some of your funds to this feature: Right Click > Report for RMT > Auto Blacklist
Also extend our blacklist and implement a way we can clean the blacklist easier (one at a time sucks). I can never use this feature for actual players if I need to; it all goes to RMT.
I was doing this two for a about two weeks. Even if I was running to a story quest, I'd just stop and report them. But the last few times I've logged in, the RMT has been very bad. I was getting messages from three or four different sellers within a one or two minute time frame. I'd block them, just to receive tells from two or three more. I'd block them as well, perhaps miss one, then get another tell and think to myself, "Whoops, I missed one." Then as I'm going to block them, two more show up. It was like I was battling an RMT Hydra or something.
Have they found a more effective way of botting, or a niche in the market? Why are there suddenly so many more than there were two weeks ago?
WinterMaintenance is coming
We really, really need a "report player" button to report them straght from the chat because it's near impossible to report those guys by hand when they have names like "Vndjfjgie Vmsjdjfd".
It's been ages since I got a /tell spam but it's starting to happen again.
Months after Heavansward it is true that it has got almost as bad as it was before, very annoying but i try to ignore now.
