SE does take action. Slow, ineffective action.
It's fine as far as routine goes. It doesn't solve the problem though. Thinking that banning RMT accounts is enough is like thinking it's enough to bucket out water from a small boat with a hole in it. You address the problem in an ineffective way. The problem will quickly be back to where it was and will eventually become worse. The addressable problem has always been the RMT irritant for players QoL. RMT is a problem itself, but one that is literally impossible to stop without shutting down service. SE needs to realize these things. Address the problem that is the drop in QoL.

That's just their MDE (Mass Data Entry) bans. That only bulk gets rid of accounts that are actually engaging in RMT, doing little for the RMT spam itself.
Divide the number of reported accounts by the number of servers and you see what I mean. There are 64 servers:
Alright, so 2650 divided by 64 is: 42 per server... I can tell you for certain I blacklist that amount of accounts in less than a week, because I have to wipe the blacklist every month. These are the spammers who sit there inside Ul'dah spamming away.Time Period: May 7, 2015 to May 13, 2015
・Accounts receiving disciplinary action for RMT advertising: 2650
・Accounts receiving disciplinary action for RMT/illicit activity: 6467
・Action Details: Permanent ban from FINAL FANTASY XIV
・Accounts receiving disciplinary action for participation in RMT/illegal activity: 1
・Action Details: Temporary ban from FINAL FANTASY XIV
6467 divided by 64 is roughly 101.
So 101 accounts, these are those blackmages you see who aren't in GC's at level 50, because there is no reason for bots to play the main storyline. They only need to get the class to level 30 and then off they go on the job quest which has no prerequisites at all other than one other class at level 15, which can be done in less than hour even by real people. I haven't bothered to watch any of these bots to see how long it takes, but you can find them usually outside Satasha before they get to level 50.
Within the span of 3 hours I would have already blacklisted more than 42 accounts on Zalera. These weekly bans are not even making a dent in their numbers. The issue is not even being solved to 1% satisfaction. This topic is over 800 replies now and there is still dev silence. It is as some of the posters have said, they show their lack of care through their silence. Only reason I have remained subbed is to be able to keep adding signatures to the petition. I can't support a company who doesn't give a sliver of concern for their customers. I stopped playing FFXIV a few weeks ago, and won't be buying Heavensward. Literally five minutes it would take them to type a response. You know they have read this, but they say nothing. They are shouting their message loud and clear for us. "Suck it up, it's not going to change anytime soon."

On Exodus they must be making mad accounts during the window because I only play during normal hours, I dont play for that long and I get spam and friend requests non stop. I would also say they have some kind of cheat that lets them know when I log in, because they hit me with a friend invite BEFORE I see my Chr in game EVERY single time I log in, they NEVER miss me not once.Point of reference is that I'm on Excalibur:

Give me an /anon function, give me the ability to block tells from non-friended people and block friend requests or FIX THIS CRAP SE! Busy is not a good option, nor or what I have suggested here, but they would lessen the annoyance for many.yeah i wonder about this how come as soon as im loading the game (not even see anything yet) i hear the annoying tells and friend request? how are they that fast? , maybe limite search or something , 1 search every 15s or something like that, this isn ffxi search funcion isnt used that much.
And to those saying blocking of all friend requests might hinder them - really? Why on earth would you randomly friend request anyone anyway? Talk to them first, ask them to drop busy - then do it. If you don't know them well enough for that - why friend them?

It seems to have gotten worse. This is not good enough. there have been a number of good suggestions that would fix the problem. However, a line has been drawn in the sand for me. To retain my subscriptions, they must come to these forums and address our concerns, We need to heard at this point or the next game that comes out that peeks my interest I am going. Nerf this, nerf that, move my cheese I don't care. Make me feel like you don't give poop, I just cannot stomach it. The silence is deafening.
