As annoying as it is, why not use captcha verification when making new accounts. characters?

And maybe do it every once in a while if a person doesn't have a security token?

It's completely ineffective. They just capture the captcha request and run it through OCR or some crowd-sourced AI solver where people are paid pennies to do it.

The only real solution to combating RMT and Spam would require everyone to have a unique token to login. If you think people have enough problems remembering passwords, just wait till you have to find that Amiibo to login.
