Did you not say SE was aware of the issue already? So if what you say is true, it means they've known these two years and have not acted upon it even though they had ample time. Which means we have been wronged. And if they haven't been aware, wouldn't that make this petition all the more necessary? Which is it?

You contradicted yourself, I was just pointing it out. There's one more hole in all of this too. Even if they needed time as you say, they could still post a dev reply to all this, however vague it may be. Fact of the matter is they haven't even done that, on a single thread that speaks of this issue.
