Formal Letter to SE about RMT situation.

Right now, I'm sitting at 23 friend requests from RMT bots. Got the notification in the corner because there is no point in taking the time to remove the bot requests, same has applied to my blacklist for over a year now. What is now annoying me is the fact that I reported 3 requests last week and I STILL get support notifications when I am in instances, despite closing the issues within the hour I sent them.

At this point the only reason I play is because of friends. I'd rather play WoW with randoms then deal with this RMT garbage.

It's been quiet for a while over here but since yesterday I've begun to receive gilseller friend requests again. Come on guys.

I know those aren't specifically RMT bots, but we all know why they're in DF >_> Later a fellow LS member counted 17 at once. I know they purposely leave some bots active to track accounts, but this is just depressing to see in a subscription game

For certain you need to add the right click report function, as well as make the blacklist capacity larger.

I fully support this.

I've also sent a suggestion letter (through in-game help desk) that there should be a tutorial quest to unlock /tell and another quest to unlock Friend Request. I also suggested that there should be a hard limit on how many friend requests a person can send out per minute. On my server, the RMTs slowed down with their tells, they now send friend requests instead. So just today I've sent yet another suggestion to SE, asking them to please enable us to click Decline to friend requests from checking the Friend Request notification. Buttons could be like "Accept" "Decide Later" and "Decline."

The problem I'm having now is around the same time RMT Friend Request started to spam everyone, my friend list broke. It now doesn't display half of the old friends I have on it (3+ months old), and can't even decline new friend request. Additionally, any new friends added won't even display on the friend list.

On the bright side I can still send mog mail to newly added friends, but just can't seem them on the friend list.

Last night I actually saw noticeably less RMT spam than usual. It was still there, but at least wasn't as constant.

Last time this happened, though, and I got my hopes up of there being some real improvement, I heard from other people that their RMT spam was getting worse at the same time (and later, I saw it back as well), so I think it was just the spammers shifting the focus of their attention a bit between servers. So I'm reluctant to get my hopes up again, particularly since we still haven't seen any features added to control it.

Me too I was actually able to stay off busy(only think I got 1 friend req bot)... though it always seems to pick right back up the closer to the weekend we get -.-

Its only gotten worse, its moved to /tell and friend requests not shouts.
On Shiva i get 3 are so per hour

This still held up again last night. I was on for about three hours or so and only got a dozen RMT /tell messages and one of their Friend requests. Still an annoyance when they do happen, but nowhere near the flood of constant harassment I've usually been seeing.

Yep I think this happened to me right during the ending cutscene for the story quest that requires you to do The Stone Vigil. I think I received about 5-10 between the final cutscene for that quest and the rest of that chain.
